Slow page transitions?

I have noticed it is VERY slow while trying to browse the board. Any tech reason why?
Anyone else notice?

Nothing I can see on the server and nothing in the logs either that looks out of the ordinary.

Are there a lot of graphics or maybe some scripts that are designed to run in the background of this forum? That can slow down the page loading at times. But idk how it's all set up.

There are a few but they all run after the page loads so that won't affect anything.

... I'm going to open my M-60 and fire a couple of tracers off into the night on this one. First, I'm assuming that you are running Windows XP. The next thing I'm going to assume is that you do not have Ad-Aware2008 nor RegscrubXP on your desk top so that you are reminded to run them every Saturday or Sunday to clean all the Spyware and to correct all the Registry errors that accumulate every week and slow your machine down. I'll be back in a few to post the links for you to get this free software.

Ok...well infact I do have a regularly scheduled maintenance on my computer and have run all programs AGAIN just to ensure there is nothing "hiding" anywhere. I am still experience an extreme slow browsing session with THIS BOARD only. I can surf and load any other page perfectly. I am just having this issue with BibleForums.

I have the exact same problem. I only joined yesterday but i find the pages take so long to load. Every other site that i go on opens really quickly. Its just this particular forum. I was hoping it was just a problem that was being worked on but reading how most of you are having no problems I'm not so sure now
