View Full Version : The Lamb

Where is the Lamb? Behold the Lamb. Worthy is the Lamb.

As two trod Mount Moriah, no word between them passed
The old in calm assurance while the puzzled young man asked
“Father I see the wood, father I see the fire,
But tell me father where’s the lamb?” the young man did enquire
The old in calm assurance answered his son and said
“God Himself will provide a lamb e’er we each the mountain head.

He stood in Jordans river baptizing those who came
A Nazarite from the wilderness, John was his given name.
He looked at One approaching and to his disciples did say
Behold the Lamb of God who takes the worlds sins away
Then Andrew and his companion left the Nazarite there
And followed after the Nazarene because of the witness they’d heard.

The plan of God now accomplished upon a lonely hill
And millions upon millions are praising and eternally will praise Him still.
For the Man who walked to the hilltop is the man about whom John said,
“Behold the Lamb of God” He is Jesus who was raised from the dead
And sour anthem is lifted as in worship we try to explain
The debt that we owe as we tell Him, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain.”

Beloved by God

I like the way you have told the story in poem form. It's good.
