First off I have to tell you that I am disabled and currently going through some rough times with my physical health along with my mental health that keeps me from being able to get out of the house a lot. I kept my girlfriend who is not a Christian from attending Church tonight. She was going to watch her friends Baptism. She was complaining about going but she was going to go anyway. At the last minute I selfishly asked her to stay with me. Since she didnt want to go this was enough of a reason for her not to go. I really didnt think of it that way when I asked her, all I wanted was not to be alone. I do not want to be responsible for her missing the one thing that could change her life. I really feel bad, if anyone knows of any scripture that I can read and/or advice I would appreciate it.

I think the first chapter of John is my favorite. It explains who Jesus very well.
Joh 1:1-14
(1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
(2) The same was in the beginning with God.
(3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
(4) In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
(5) And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
(6) There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
(7) The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
(8) He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
(9) That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
(10) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
(11) He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
(12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
(13) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
(14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hi Curt, sorry to hear about your health..You know everything is for a season....so be strong in your faith and pray, pray, pray. Sometimes we all may act kinda selfish in wanting our way...but, you what...God is your judge. So, we have to talk to HIM, learn HIS Word, and go with that. We all make mistakes...we just need to not keep making the same mistakes, you know?!!! Does your health prevent you from going to Church? If so, I'm sure the Pastor would love to come by and give you a Word from the Lord, as well as, pray for about your health.
You have the perfect opportunity to study and pray and talk to your girlfriend about how important the Lord is to you and all Christians. You and your girlfriend can check out the scriptures in the above post. Let your "light" shine for her to see. If she sees it in you, she'll want it, too!!!!
:pray:ing for your health and that you may be able to go to Church and be comforted by the Word of God.....Of course, the Word of God comforts us all the time, not just in Church. The fellowship in Church can be quite comforting, as well....The Bible says for us to share ourselves with our fellow Christians....Most likely, someone else has problems with their health and you may, also, be able to help them....Who knows!!!!
God Bless:)
