1. Be Nicer Treat people with respect at all times.
"do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
2. Phone Skills Don't get mad when the phone rings.
Why would you get mad at the phone???It's an object ! turn it off or get rid of it !
3. Don't Worry Don't worry about things that don't pertain to me
God word says not to worry...It doesn't change anything.
4. The requiewmwnr stuff Don't say "That is", or, "this is" required of stuff. Just live life
Life in Jesus Christ
5. Be more positive Learn to say kind things to people, even if it's not the right time.
Same as #1 answer and work on the negative things in your mind~~renew your mind daily.
6. Prayer Learn to take time to pray 2 times a day, or, more to please Him.
Take time to build a relationship with God through prayer to grow in His Word and with Him.
7. No offici9al buying a gun act Don't say I'm officially buying a gun when things don't go my way.
Having a gun is still not going to change"the way you feel"
8. Listen to more positive music Listen to my Christian cds, more than my secular ones.
You should be listening to what the Holy Spirit is speaking to you about your music.
9. No cussing Say more positive sounding words if I feel like blurting out a cuss word
What a man thinks, so is his heart.
10. No fighting with anyone If a fight starts to brew, walk away, or go to my room to cool off for a while
Question~~Are you expecting a fight or does it exist around you ? Jesus said turn the cheek

God is transforming all our lives until the day He returns, however we must also be willing to except change that molds us into what He has created us to be.Blessings,Darlene

Darlene, I do not expect a fight, but, when one does occur, I will go to my room, or, just do as Jesus says. I am really just using this small list as a starting point to get me started as a Christian.

dude. good list.
swearing is a biggie, as it definatly blends us into the'croud', which is what we as christians don't want. we strive to be like Christ, to be differnt.
not worrying is somthing that came to me a while ago. i don't worrie about nothing. tho i still get impatient. so it's still something that needs work.
yeah, i like you, instead of saying i'm gettinga gun, say i'm going to penguin dive off my ladder/deck/high place (so i die). so it's not 'positive' by any means.
but it's good to start with these thing. praying helps too, and like you put in, praying a couple times a day, i pray while work, talk to God, think about people that need praying for, if you have a mindless job like me, try it out!!!
cool.

I think this a good list for anyone who wants to start out tryinbg to be like Christ. I think all of us should have a list written out, laminated, and, hanging up somewhere where we can see what it is we need to work on at the moment. I am really working on all of these things, but, they take time like being like Christ takes time. And, I will keep you all updated from time to time as to how I am doing with this list. And, please do encourage me if I get discouraged about something. I will encourage you alltoo. God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a good list. A great way to work on this is to pick one that you will specifically work on each week and then gradually add a new one. Now that is not to say that the others won't be done at all, but to help yourself, it might be easier to concentrate on one thing at a time.
I think I'll go make myself a list....what a fantastic idea!
