Upcoming baptism!

I am thanking Christ for a WONDERFUL piece of news that was happily sprung on me tonight: on Sunday September 21st, my boyfriend's getting baptized at his church. He was technically "christened" as an infant, but only because he was in the neonatal unit as a preemie and his family, according to tradition, wanted to have him blessed "just in case something went wrong". THIS ceremony is quite different.... He's being baptized willingly, eagerly, as an adult in front of his new church as a sign of his faith in Christ! I am overjoyed for him, and thanking God SO much for opening his heart so wide! :pp

What a wonderful blessing. I only wish I could be there! My prayers and love will be with him that day, as always... but... WOW. Is God ever good. I'm amazed and humbled at how far He's taken the two of us, and together, at that.

Thank You, Lord, for pouring out Your love on him, and on us together!

Baptism is such a great time for someone to promote their faith to others. Showing exactly what Christ has done for them, by physically going under the water and coming up again.

It's such a great time, and a marvellous testimony.

:D thanks for praising and celebrating with me, everyone. We're getting excited for tomorrow. I wish I could be there, but I'll get to see pictures/hear about it when he comes for a visit next weekend... and the MOST important thing is that he's going to be getting baptized... and that God's prompted him to do so! :) I'm thankful to Christ for that.

Oh CC, I just so share in your joy, Praise God for His mighty witness and movement in your boyfriends life, for planting this seed and nurturing into growth within him, may it continue to grow in strength day by day as God directs and both you draw such love, praise and direction from Him. :) Wanted to update this. I just spoke with him... and he said it was amazing, and that he was overjoyed to be able to have had that baptism happen. Something in him just settled, he said, and he realized that God had really blessed him over the last while... right up to today, as he participated in that sign of his faith.

And then he stopped being mushy and philosophical about it, and went out to a Christian metal concert to celebrate. :lol:
