Hurricane "Ike"

Well, I guess you figured out weather forecasters were off a few days ago. Storm headed to north east Texas coast and not the south west as they were saying. Hurricane Ike is hitting just west of my mother-in laws house right now. If you see any pictures from Surf Side that is pretty close though she lives about 12 miles inland. Storm will head right through Houston (where I used to live) then go to north Houston in Spring (where my sister lives) and then head northward where my mother lives. Then it is headed directly for us, though it should be a tropical storm by the time it gets to us. I would think my mother, sister, and myself will loose electricity. In other words, Ike is after everyone I know. You might not be safe either.

Hi all,

I am trying to find a good temp/volunteer job bringing back up the electricity in Hurricane Ike's path. I don't work for the electric company, but suffice it to say that I am a "skilled worker". Please pray that I can be placed right. Thanks!

My boyfriend lives in Tomball close to Spring.

My sister lives in Houston, TX and as you know Hurricane Ike went straight through her area. I've tried calling her to see if she is ok, but cannot get through so far.

Just asking for prayers that she is ok, and not just her, but all of those who could not get out the way of this hurricane.

I spoke to my first cousin this morning...they live in Houston, also...they were safe and sound...no electricity, but that's ok, as long as they are safe....considering the size of the storm, God was very merciful and gracious in allowing them their safety.... :pray::pray:I am in prayer for everybody's families that went through this storm...praying and praising the Lord for their lives being spared....Thank you, Father..Please Lord, let their electricity come on as speedily as possible...We know that YOU are in contol of ALL things!!!:pp:pp
