however He's see's fit:) to communicate with me:pp I needed to hear this so there it was:)

I had to run an errand to Wally World today and this song came on the Dove, our local christian radio station:) This song means way more to me today than when I first heard it. One of my prayers is "if it brings me closer to You Lord, bring it on"! That's a little scarey to pray but I know through many of my "adversities" I have grown, and well, the benefits are indescribable in words:) Your sister in Christ, denise

MercyMe "Jesus Bring the Rain" Video and Lyrics
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIFOPWHjA6c

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that
I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You

Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings
You glory And I know there'll
be days When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to
praise You Jesus, bring the rain

I am yours regardless of the clouds that may
loom above because you are much greater than
my pain you who made a way for me suffering
your destiny so tell me whats a little rain

[1st Chorus]

Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
is the lord God almighty
is the lord God almighty
I'm forever singing

[2nd Chorus 2x]

everybody singing
Holy holy holy
you are holy
you are holy

[2nd Chorus 2x]

Didn't put much of this in my testimony but music has always been a big part of my life. I wasn't born-again until 93 at age 41. I was always into rock, not really heavy metal, just rock and soft rock. Bands like Journey, Genesis, Tom Petty, Moody Blues, Foreigner:) So when I started getting an earful of christian contemporary in 91ish, from my X listening to it on the tv and radio:)and hearing some at a church, it drew me in. I see quite a few concerts when I can and have been greatly ministered to by such bands as Casting Crowns, Newsboys, Michael W. Smith, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp and yep, MercyMe:) Lots more as well:) We have to be discerning with christian music just as we are with pastors and other teachers, but yes, there are indeed ministering Christian bands:)
Love you, your sister in Christ, denise

How many times have you and I disgussed that darkness before the Light:) I've always loved that analogy of the difference between the power of Light(God)and the power or lack thereof, dark:):bounce: If you are in a pitch-dark room and light something as small as a match, darkness vanishes:) But if a room full of Light, darkness can't even "happen":rofl:and............I love this one too!!! Yea though we walk through the valley of the "shadow" of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou are't with me:) Meaning, shadow can't exist without a Light, so God is ALWAYS with us and, it is only a "shadow" of death which cannot hurt us unless we take our eyes off Jesus and buy into satans lie:) Hugs, denise, ysic:hug:
