View Full Version : Prayer before performing a task

Well this morning got off to a bang-up start. I decided to mow my much in need grass this morning. The belt that works the mowing deck came off just as I started. It is not an easy job to re-attach, so I thought what better way to get started than to pray first. I got my hand caught in a tight place but was able to free it. At that moment, it became clear what I needed to do to get the belt around the last pulley! Thank you, God. Who knows what would have happened if I hadn't pray for your guidance first?

I am guilty of trying to do stuff on my own most of the time.
I have spoke on this a couple of times at our church during Sunday School assembly.
I believe the Lord is leading me to let others as well as myself know that we need to pray over more than just the big stuff.
He is here to help us in everything if we call on Him!

JimAmen!

(Mat 6:34 KJV) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Since we don't know what today holds in store for us, we must pray.

I think alot of us are guilty for trying to do things alone.. I am one who is very guilty for that.. But when we pray and ask for help.. things work much differently.. Even when the gf and I try to do things alone.. it jus doesnt's work.. But when we begin to work together and with the aid of Jesus.. Everything works out much better for us.. Praise th Lord.. it's a wonderful lesson he teaches us.. Praise the Lord..:pp

Great lesson and great post. Thanks for sharing! You are so right; when we include our loving Father in our daily and mundane tasks, they become lessons in love and much, much lighter.

Thank you for this reminder. How much smoother our daily routine is when we turn it all over to Him!

Blessings,
