The world today is in need of women filled with the Holy Ghost, we go to great measures and costs to fill and adorn our temples with things that don’t necessarily benefit it, but according to the word of God the only prerequisites for being filled with the Holy Ghost is to first be saved, ask for it and receive it. It’s not in how much you dance, shout, shake or cry, and nothing is wrong with those things, but these are things that those without the Holy Ghost can do as well because of emotions.
And as we already know everybody you see dancing and hear hollering “Lord, Lord,” is not a filled with the Holy Ghost.
As women we were created from man, Genesis 2:7 states the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul, Gen. 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman.
As women we are that refined creation, of mankind, we have a degree of precision and effectiveness. It lies within our emotions. A good many of our brothers have trained themselves to put a cap on their emotions. We as women generally express our emotions, we express our love, when we hurt we express that hurt, and when we are angered, we express that anger.
Those of you that are of my generation, the baby boomers, remember a time that hurricanes were only named after women, in 1953 hurricane Alice was the first storm given a human name, it wasn’t until 1979 with Hurricane Bob that they started using male names as well.
Mainly because of feminist groups protesting that it was chauvinistic to single women out like that.
But meteorologist or weatherman, watch these storms brewing out over the ocean, and maybe it’s just me, but the most perfect or major storms still are given feminine names, New Orleans was not warned that Tyrone but Katrina was coming, the pile up on the Houston hi-ways was not because they were running from Jerome but from Rita.
But when we as women are filled with the Holy Ghost, these emotions must come up under submission, the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, happiness, longsuffering, gentleness…. The signs of these being part of our character are how ones know that you are filled with the Holy Ghost.
That is why we need to put on the whole armor of God, I’m living witness that going off, will bring you problems, we need our feet shod with the preparation of peace, we got to stop running to and looking for mess, it takes God’s helmet of salvation, a renewing of your mind to give you the power you need to allow God to fight your battles.
Your helmet keeps you from being tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine, that word wind, represents spirit, some of these doctrines we are hearing today are from the wrong spirit. We are allowing wrong individuals to blow breath into us. Women of God we need to turn Oprah off and get into the word and get an understanding that there is only one way to the Father and that is through the Son, Jesus. We need to seek wise counsel, talk to your mothers in the Lord, who have good examples in front of you, the bible speaks of foolish women without reference to age, there are some foolish old women in our midst, who we do not need to listen to.
Every book you pick up at the book store is not anointed of God. We need to read the word! The bible is the inspired and infallible word of God. The sword of the Spirit
We need to have on our breastplate of righteousness, for when we are tempted by wolves in sheep’s clothing. The church is guilty of spiritual necrophilia. An intimacy, with the dead. When I was in the world, the things of the world turned me on, but now in Christ Jesus, I have life, and the world is dead in sin.
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able, to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Holy Ghost filled women learn to quench (put out, darts of fire) and we do that through prayer and fasting, staying close to God, and when the devil starts acting a fool we are able to say with authority “devil I see you” and you are not about to disturb my peace. It’s powerful weapon to be able to recognize with a spiritual eye the workings of those things that are not of God.
The Holy Ghost will warn you of sudden destruction, it will show you those not right spirits, it will show you spirits that are intent on raising hell all the time.
The Holy Ghost will give you peace through it all, and make great your blessings, and stand you over your enemies tall
