In need of guidance

I'm having trouble dealing with the evils inside. I'm a mother raising my kids we the most pure and strong values. Yet, I myself can't walk the walk. I constantly do things associated with those with poor values. I take things that don't belong to me , I lie, I cheat. I've got to find a way to put myself right. It is beginning to eat me up inside and I have got to make it right. Please send me prayers and guidance.

I'm feeling more and more guilt over what I have done. I think that is a good thing. I have started at 12pm to day as starting my life over to be an honest and true, worthy of being. I shall continue to prayer for my own strength to be come the person I want to be.

I was told about a book by my Pastor and it is titled "every mans battle" by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker. My wife has a womens counter part book titled "every heart restored". Now a warning is that these books don't pull any punches and they are very to the point.
They are by Christian theripists for Christians. I to am struggling and fighting this battle for me and my wife. Take from this book what you want and store the rest for later. I will pray for you. I read mine over and over sometimes."Im a slow reader". Those of us that are weak must be lead by the stonger one's in the flock or even the sheperd.

Nothing specific yet, but I know I need something in my life to help direct and guide me. Currently I'm just lost.

Welcome to the Christians Answer forum. We will be happy to pray for you and help you the best we can to find your way to the Lord. When you receive Christ He will give you His Holy Spirit who will be in you, to guide you to live in a way that is pleasing to Him. It is good to pray for your own strength, but God's way is to ask for His strength. Does that make sense? You need to receive Jesus Christ. I will be happy to guide you through that process if you are ready to do that.

You have listed yourself as not a Christian... can you give us some background on your spiritual life up to this point?

YOu know you can't do this changing thing by your own power, don't you?
So ask Jesus to come in and take over, tell Him you need Him to come inside you and fix what's wrong with you, and that you want Him as your Saviour and Lord. That Lord part is the important part...that means He's the One in charge, not you...He becomes your Master, and many other wonderful things He will be to you, including your confident, and counselor, and comforter, and guide, and strength to resist sin, and protector and provider.:hug:
