i have a question. ididn't know which forum to put this in but, I have been hanging out with my friends lately.. who are basically all non-believers. I think God wants tell me to hang out with believers, and i want to do his will, but i have still been hanging out with the non believer friends. I also think the enemy is using this oppurtunity for spiritual warfare. After i hung out with my friend all night, i was thinking negative thoughts a lot of the night and not really trusting God. After is good I was thinking and reading the bible and i was letting my thoughts attack me again i was trying not to but not hard enough!! and it was very bad. When i was going to sleep i had an extremely scary dream that seemed to be from the enemy and i also suffer from sleep paralysis, and so that was combined in with the dream ..which was horrifying!! I don't know if you know what sleep paraylsis is but its a condition where you feel stiff in your sleep, and have hallucinations. it only happens once in a while. It's caused by something in your brain but it is very very scary without it being a scary dream, let alone combined with that. did this ever happen to anyone before? I know God is with me and loves me and im praying for him to get my thru!

Yes, God does love you and will see you through..but changing some things is really up to you to do! Like who you spend your time with..

Obviously these negative thoughts, doubts, etc. happened after you kept company with non-believers and especially if you started believing some of the things they said. This danger to our faith can happen to us when we link up with those who are opposed to God and live in unbelief. It is good to stay away from that influence on a regular basis.

Yes, take your own words here seriously and get into fellowship with Christians and hang out with Christian friends. Continue to pray to God whenever you have a dream or get a negative thought always praying in the Name of Jesus..there is power in His Name. You can also start praying for your unbelieving friends and, in time, when you are ready to stand strong against the negative influence you may get an opportunity to witness to them.

RE: our thoughts>>Phillipians 4:8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things."

I am asking God to deliver you from the effects of these negative things and :help: you to find good Christian fellowship and friends. Maybe joining a small group in your church will help in this.

Dear one

My sleep was at times invaded by many scary and unsettling events. I have listed a few scriptures that helped me and that were laid on my heart as I read your post.

Pray these words and believe in them.

Phl 4:8 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Phl/Phl004.html#8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

Psa 4:8 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Psa/Psa004.html#8) I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

Pro 3:24 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Pro/Pro003.html#24) When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

As for hanging out with Non-believers the scriptures do warn about being led away by error of the wicked.

2Pe 3:17 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/2Pe/2Pe003.html#17) Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

We know that Christ himself ate with the sinners and spoke that they (the sick) was who he came to heal. What we as christians have to be balanced in is, if what we are doing and who we are hanging out with is causing more ill effect then good then we have to back up from it.
I can't tell how old you are and I have no way of knowing where you are in your christian walk. But what I can tell you is if you have non-believing friends then they are bound for hell if they do not become believers, therefore your goal ...your main objective while hanging out with them should be to let Christ shine through you. Now you may loose those friends when you start letting the holy spirit guide your conversations with them. But you will have allowed Christ to work through you in order to save them from a lost and dying world.
I feel the need to impress upon you the importance of putting the Kingdom first in your life. This world and the things in it are passing away. Each and every one of us should wake up every day determined to speak the word of Christ in one way or as many ways as we can.
There are only two types of people in this world and they are The Lost and The Saved. If any one has not accepted Christ into their hearts then they are lost. My dear one if you don't want these friends to be lost then spend your time around them by being a witness for the Lord.
I would suggest from a loving heart that you pick christian friends to "hang out with" most of your time.
