I can see why we would want to sign it. But it was to be directed to Trent Lott, and was supposed to be completed by Feb 13, 2003. Maybe you should start a new one. :)

I would agree that there is a lot of vulgar programs being passed off as entertainment these days.

But I'm not one who generally supports petitions other than to get something on an election ballot.

The best way to combat the problem is to change the channel and not buy any products advertised on the show. The networks only understand ratings and advertising dollars, not any lectures on morality.

I'd sign it but it asks for personal information which I don't like to give online.

The best way to protect your kids from junk on TV is shut it off and spend time with them. It may still not work given our society, but its a lot more effective than lobbying for others to fix the problem, even if they ought to.
