:)Hey to all. I've got a slight problem (not surprising eh)!!!:lol:
I need and would welcome any help with this issue...
Of course,this puter is(how shall I say?) :(foreign to me.
Over the past 6 months...my filing has not been good...files all over the place and not organized.What I want to try and do is put together the same file topics together in one file and so forth with others.~~~I don't understand what the 'help topics' tell me to do and I cant find out about the filing system that I need and really all that 'stuff'.I've checked many places.If anyone could give me some 'simple' advice or maybe sites to visit for this information,I would
be :monkeyd::monkeyd:'monkey jumping & dancing':rofl::rofl:
Thanks for any type of help and maybe prayer:D
in Christ, Darlene

cdo, if you right-click any file in Vista you will get a menu that includes a "Send to" option. First I would send every file I was concerned with to Documents. Unless it was a picture,,, then I would send it to pictures.

Then, in Documents,(or pictures, or music) on the upper left side, you will find Organize. Left click organize and find on the top of the menu "New Folder." Right-clicking the new folder will allow you to give it a name (rename)... type the name you want in the box on the bottom of each new folder you create.

You can then drag and drop, by holding down the left mouse button over each file and dragging it the the new folder and then releasing the button.

Of course you would want to send pictures to pictures and music to music, before creating new folders in these places and dropping files into them.

You have four categories, Documents, Picures, Music and Videos. And, a separate place for Downloads.. Same rules apply in Downloads
