A hard thing to do(for me)

I have been addicted to porn for awile now.
Recently I have been repenting this sin, (for years I have been abusing grace)
While I have been not looking at porn, I still have had porn saved on my computer...(I've been procrastinating deleting it), (I knew I wanted it out of my life) After sepending a few moments with the Lord in prayer,(sitting in front of my computer)
I felt a strong feeling to get rid of it once and for all!
So I deleted all of it! In a moment of strong repentence! I felt that GOD was in me, cheering me on! Saying "You can do this!"," Don't be afraid"
(which I was) now I feel free from it.
the chain is broken, with the help from The Holy Spirit!
after I deleted it I broke down to GOD.
After some tears came out I thanked Him and got back up and continued
on with my(His) day.
I just wanted to tell all of you about this struggle.

I'm so happy to hear that you've deleted the remainder of your material. I think you and I both know the urges are going to be back. Brother I have been there and it's such acts of obedience that takes us farther from the sound of those chains being rattled by satan behind us. Don't look back and be enticed, stay focused on God and forward movement on that path God set before you.

In time those chains will lie forgotten along the side of the path far behind you. The only use they will have in your life is when you help others bound by the same chains... you will be able to relate to their specific problem as you testify how God broke those chains from you.

Give this victory back to God as you praise Him and lift the Glory of this victory to Him!

I pray for you for your struggle, like the same one I am having. You have taken a big step by deleting it all and I commend you for it!

I can't wait to leave my other addictions behind me(smoking and drinking)
within this week.
I will use the power of the Holy Spirit and strength that GOD gave me to stop smoking and drinking. After repenting from porn, I feel stronger than I did before. I will continue to pray so that I will get rid of these addictions and be a better son to GOD.

It's actually an important question and may seem personal but needs to be asked to find out what makes you tick. Is the need to view porn whjch then this leads to masturbation (or not?), or is the need to mastubate and you use porn to fuel/facilitate this need?

Do you do anything in anyway to stop yourself / what do you do to stop yourself that is failing?

I view porn then masturbate, and need to masturbate so I use porn,...so both I think.

You, as a child of God also stand on this victory. You have already won the battle but satan keeps you from understanding this and keeps you from using this fact.

Use the name of Jesus Christ as a weapon, use scripture against satan. It is not called the Sword of the Spirit for nothing... RUN him THROUGH EACH AND EVERY TIME he TEMPS YOU!! Read Ephesians 6:10-20.

satan can only tempt you, it's a battle waged in the mind. When you allow him to breach that gate into your heart and then you act on that temptation and allow it to turn to sin.... if you battled with the name of Jesus Christ, if you wielded scripture offensively as you battled in the mind then satan cannot breach the heart.

You do this by standing up and walking away from where ever you are when the temptation begins. You go to where you read your Bible and you get down on your knees and begin to pray OUT LOUD, you open the Bible and you begin to read OUT LOUD. You use your authority and say, "In the name of Jesus Christ I order the spirit of masturbation/lust/fantasy lust etc, to leave me NOW. You have no authority over me and I declare this in the name of Jesus Christ!! I am a child of God and I have been bathed in the blood of Jesus Christ who was sacrificed for my sin, so that I may be saved in my faith in Jesus Christ and have eternal life. You are not gonna take this from me satan, and in the name of Jesus Christ I order you to leave my presence and leave my thought's alone..., I order this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen!

If the temptation hits you 10 times a day, then get on your knees and say all this OUT LOUD 10 times a day.
