How to make a signature?

I can't seem to find it.. lol.

Can anyone tell me where it is? :(

Go to "UserCP" top left row (in blue) toward top of screen, click on that and on the left is a menu, edit signature is in that list.

You will not be able to create a signature though until you have fulfilled the following requirements:

If you do not see this option it is most likely due to either one or any combination of the following requirements for a custom signature: You must be here for at least 7 days; you must have at least 10 posts; you must have a reputation equivalent to or greater than 0. If any of these are not met, than you will not see the option to change/create your signature.

what is the limit of size and kbs if one wants to use an image in the sigy?

The maximum size of your custom image is 640 by 200 pixels or 34.2 KB (whichever is smaller).


Just bear in mind that it makes a post longer, and there are also many on dial up, so there is a down load time issue also. Just something to keep in mind. A signature that is to big tends to be less favorable. 640 in length is not bad but now 640 in height would bug folks.

Hmm thanks Dove,

But it guess thats a priviledge for members with more than 1000 posts, because when I go to change the sig then it says 500 x 100 (figured out after posting ^^)
and 19.5kb I wanted to use this one.

What software to you have to edit, can you just bring the size down some?

Oh good idea,

No software but an online image editor (http://www.online-image-editor.com/index.cfm) ok I`ll try that of sizing down some.

I don`t know how but i guess i was saving the image in .gif format, but jpg was lighter I guess and directly uploaded from the pc not from imageshackus ^^
