As many of you had read, I was having trouble leaving an Apostolic Oneness Pentecostal church, and not sure where to go. Well I had been praying for a few months, and didn't feel God leading me anywhere.
One morning this week I was getting ready to leave for work, it was a cloudy morning and I felt like God just wasn't there. I was feeling down and all of the sudden I got this feeling that I need to have faith in God. I remember thinking something like "God doesn't talk to people. yeah, they're going to think you are real sane thinking he does."
As I thought that I happened to look at the car going by next to me and on the back there was one of those fishes people put on the back! I felt like that was a sign and the rest of the day my faith was renewed. Later on I was going home and looked in my rearview mirror at a guy in a car. There was something about him that I saw God there, and sure enough on the back of his car - another fish.
Now I know that when people put fish on the back of their cars, it doesn't necessarily mean they are real Christians, but the story goes on...
The next day I had this voice telling me to ask a woman that I know what church she goes to. I doubted she would identify with a Pentecostal church like I went to, but when I asked she said First Assembly of God. I didn't recognize the name so didn't think it was Pentecostal. She asked me where I went and I said that I had gone to a Pentecostal church and she said, "me too!"
I thought "Wow!" and I am definitely going to go there this Sunday. I hope it is the right place for me. If it's not, I'll try somewhere else. Also, I don't favor any denomination over another, as long as they are not cults.
