Lately (with my girlfriend's help) I've been budgeting hardcore, trying to pay for school, gas, food, and my credit card, while only working 20 hours a week.
Last week, we'd figured that after paying everything this month, I'd have around $82.
But we'd forgotten about my credit card, the minimum payment for which is $45 (I owe around $2,000 on it...oops).
Also, if my bank account gets under $50, it goes into "overdraft protection mode" and automatically takes $50 out of my credit card to keep from overdrawing.....in effect I would accomplish nothing by paying on it this month.
HOWEVER, the Lord reminded me of the TV, VCR, and XBOX games I'd left with my cousin (whom I used to live with, but moved out) that were still mine, and it occurred to me that I could sell them to him.
He payed me $110 in cash for the TV, the VCR, and five XBOX games.
I'm not on easy street or anything, but it was enough of a boost that I don't have to worry about where my next meal is coming from.
