Anyone have any idea why what is on my screen suddenly shoots up, or down, and i have to fetch it back to finish reading or typing? Is the PC or screen going caput? or something relatively simple? (it doesn't do it always, but 4 times while I was typing this

I'm guessing this is only happening in applications that use a scroll bar. If this is the case, it could be something wrong with the mouse...or keyboard. Maybe a malfunctioning scrolling key or something...or malfunctioning wheel on the mouse. Try replacing these items to see what happens.

I've disposed of my 'cord' mouse and keyboard, so will have to borrow to see if it makes a difference.

Could you describe your symptom a little more precisely? Maybe take a before / after screenshot?

I've not done anything except change the batteries in the mouse, but the problem seems to have stopped . . . :)
