To all military families, veterans and soldiers
We stand honored for your sacrifice. The cost you paid for our freedom will never be forgotten.
To the families whose beloved fallen paid the ultimate sacrifice we honor you with a tremendous gratitude.
To the veterans we salute you as our hero's. May our future forces emulate you and your courage
To our soldiers near and afar. We stand with you and support our troops. God bring you home safely. You are our hero's.
To all my Canadian brothers at arms
On the 11th day of 11th month at the 11th hour we remember our fallen soldiers who died in Borean War, WW1, WW2, Korean War, Bosian conflict, Persian War, Afghanistan and peace keeping efforts.
My thoughts go out to all the veterans, their families and surviving platoons and battalions. May God Bless you for their sacrifice for our freedom. No greater act can be bestowed on a person than to lay down their life for another.

I can't say anything to do justice, but what I ponder in my heart about "Our Boys" and "Our Girls" is too great.

I just wanted to say, finally, after a very long time, the Gurkha's who fought to defend Britain, have been given permission to live in the country they fought to defend.
And also, this morning my son asked me why I was crying... the British soldiers are coming home from Iraq. The whole history of it has been a mess, only God knows the truth of everything... but I suddenly wished my husband was with me to see it.
Could you pray for a school friend of my son's? I won't give her name, but she's an Australian girl, living in the UK with her aunty, whose parents are both in the army. Her Dad is in Iraq, her mother in Afghanistan. Her father should be coming home soon. Could you pray for this girl, that both parents return home safely from the wars?

Dear Lord,
Three times I have had to leave my daughter's side as I deployed to war. She was too young the first time to understand but the other two times, I had to look her in the eye and explain what I had to do. Lord, you answered her prayers, my prayers, and the prayers of many others as I returned safely from each time away.
So Lord, I lift up this little girl to you Lord so her voice can be heard by all in heavan. I ask that you bless this little girl with the safe return of both her parents and right now that you comfort her and place in her heart the peace only You can offer. Keep her strong Lord, enable her to endure the wait cause I know, as the time nears close is when the enemy tries to step in and take it all away... protect her Lord, extend this protection to both her parents and when they unite and the thanks and glory is offered up to You... it shakes the foundations of heaven under your feet.
Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers, we love You Lord and all the Glory is yours.
I pray this, in Jesus Christ's name, Amen!

Yea isn't it great,I wonder if it would have happened without Joanna Lumly's intervention ?.
It actually worries me a bit - I fear that if too many come here to live the powers that be will disband the regiment.
And also, this morning my son asked me why I was crying... the British soldiers are coming home from Iraq. The whole history of it has been a mess, only God knows the truth of everything... but I suddenly wished my husband was with me to see it.
Amen to that. I think we were all misinformed right from the start.

Let us pray that all the boys and girls return home safely to their loved ones.
God bless.

I work in Reservations for a Vacation Club, and people have to show ID, like a photo driver's license, but sometimes they pull out a military ID, or come in wearing military clothing, usually with that young wife proudly by their side. Sometimes they are both in military.
I always, always thank them personally for serving in our military. And they nearly always tend to get some tears welling up in their eyes. But, I feel compelled to thank them personally, and I am so, so glad to have this privilege, to thank them in person. And I mean it, too, because I have 2 sons myself who are in the military.
I can tell it means a lot to them, each and every time they hear a 'thank you'!
So again, from a Mother of 2 Military sons....I thank you from the bottom of my heart. (The hardest thing I ever had to do was send my youngest child off to two different wars! In Iraq both time...so thank you Slug and all the others here from ANY country who are in the military. You are my heroes.)
