Hello all,

I have used many versions of discussion forums, have administrated and moderated various forums and have a problem unique to this forum that I have not encountered elsewhere.

When I post, my post goes through, but the browser stalls, and have to be manually closed (as in with the task manager). I use XP SP3, with a decent connection (wireless broadband). I have this problem on no other forums.

I wonder if it has something to do with the stats box at the bottom of the page as the entire time I am typing this I get a notice that flashes between "waiting for htt://webnet77.com..." and then various files... it seems to be the "bibleforums.org" stats box.

Is there anyway I can disable this function? Have you had any other issues with this?

Thanks for your help, and for your service in running this board.

Sounds like you have scripting disabled. Have you tried going to this page directly http://webnet77.com/geo-ip/ - let me know what happens.

Thanks for your help.

The page loads and displays fine, but then continues to alternately display that is is first waiting for, then downloading various files... but nothing is loading.

Your referral seems to confirm that the statistics block at the bottom of the page is the problem... any thoughts on how I might fix it?

Thanks, :saint:

Actually, I think your question may have just provided me with a solution.

I added this site; http://webnet77.com/GEO/web-html/bibleforums.org.html (http://webnet77.com/GEO/web-html/bibleforums.org.html) to my list of restriced sites so it could not load.

Let's see if I can post now without having to shut down the page with task manager...

On edit;

Worked Great!!! Thanks!

why does the web site have this thing anyway? It must slow down the page loading for everyone? Is there some add revinue it generates?

It seeme like it is kind of a waste of bandwidth. :confused
