I am at 194. Yes, I am 5"4 or 5"6 forgot which, and im 194. I look pretty skinny with a shirt, without one, I look fat. I am nearly a super-heavy weight. I hate it. I want to get down to at least below 175. I am scared to death that I am gonna go over 200. Ater 200 the weight class is different. I would be fighting people that are like 6 foot 2, and are close to pure muscle. This terrifies me. Cause I am not pure muscle. I have muscle, but not enough.

Does Mountain Dew really kill my diet? And are their any ways to get Vitamins/Minerals, other than: eating fruit/vegetable?

I already drink vitamin water, take vitamin/mineral pills.

Take away all refined sugar. That includes ALL soda AND VITAMIN WATER!!!
For vitamins, I recommend looking at Vitamin Shoppe and finding a good supplement for you.

Also, DON'T EAT WHITE BREAD. If you like bread, stick with whole grain or wheat. I personally like Ezekiel Bread (in most grocery stores in health food section). It's grainy and delicious.

As for veggies...God made fruits and vegetables for a reason. Eat them. They're EXTREMELY good for you.

Also, start taking some sort of aerobics to trim some of the fat.

I agree, sugar (including Mountain Dew and Vitamin Water) can do a lot of damage to your diet. I'd recommend tracking your diet online for a couple of weeks (www.fitday.com and www.dailyplate.com are both good for this), then seeing where you're getting the majority of your calories. If you're like most people, you're eating a lot more carbs than you think.

lol, ya, but its so addictive. I am gonna STOP eating anything that isn't certified good today, and hopefully it will last for a long time, I am not gonna be able to drink MD cause they just raised the prices like a dollar. So no worries their, but crap, the only things I like to drink other than it is:

Tea (which is getting old)
Orange/Grape Juice (good, and addictive)

I hate Water, but I can force myself to drink a couple liters a day.

Sugar doesn't make you fat, I've been eating sweets my whole life, I used to drink 4 litres of juice every day (but that was quite expensive haha, so I cut that down, plus I could develop diabetes with all of that sugar).

Fruits have a natural sugar which isn't like refined sugar. White bread they bleach the flour, it's not the best for you; I personally like toasted whole grain bread with butter, cream cheese, cheese, honey w/ NATURAL (non-hydrogenized) peanut butter etc...

Super-Heavy weight? As in Boxing?
There is, happily, no Super Heavyweight division in professional boxing. This is good, because Heavyweight is probably the least exciting of all the divisions; it merely attracts the most public attention because of the historical cachet of "Heavyweight Champion of the World," and has traditionally featured the most well-known fighters, such as Ali, Tyson, and the sainted Holyfield. But the real action has always been at the lower divisions, where fighters carrying less body mass provide much more lively bouts. It may be that the Heavy division is losing some of its appeal: the most popular boxer alive is the recently retired Oscar De La Hoya, who has never fought at Heavy, and such terrific fighters as Bernard Hopkins and others. The Super Heavy division is exclusively an amateur phenomenon. Weight limits in pro boxing were addressed with the creation of the Cruiserweight division: Holyfield started as a Cruiserweight. But there is no upper weight limit for the Heavy division in the pro ranks.

I didn't mean to derail the thread; it's just that my ears perk up whenever boxing is mentioned.....

Water is a key to losing weight. I found out for me that drinking alot of water, eating smaller quantities, along with biking or running helped me lose 20 lbs during the course of one summer.
