Seriously though, I don't know if they'll even make the playoffs, but I do like the direction that they're going. Parcells and Sparano are doing great things down here.

Big Seahawks fan here... I hope we draft Michael Crabtree. At the rate our boys are going, they should take a pretty high pick and can probably get just about anyone they want. It's a tough year for football fans here in Washington State. The Seahawks, the Cougs, and the Huskies have a grand total of 4 wins between them. Oh well, it could be worse. We could be Detroit fans. ;)

Oh well, it could be worse. We could be Detroit fans. ;)

You may know that the Ford family has owned the Lions for the last 50 years, and in that time the team has won exactly one single playoff game. I've been a fan for most of those seasons but have been in exile for the last few. I'll be back when and only when the Fords sell the team to someone who knows what they're doing. I don't know what the chances are of the auto industry situation forcing that to happen, but I'll hold out some hope. Actually, if they're serious about cutting costs, they should sell.

Football is the best sport ever invented. Since I live in a state without a "real" professional football team (Michigan), I've had to adopt other teams.

However, I am in a unique position to witness history this season.

Go Colts! Their strategy this season seems to be "Don't do anything right for the first half, and let's see how many we can win in the last quarter."

That's a better strategy than my Steelers idea of letting the defense bail them out, and not bothering to get any offensive production.

OK.... I just GOTTA represent.... LOL!

I'm originally from Michigan, but my FIRST NFL favorite team was "Da' Bears". Don't know why though.... but I was about 8 when I chose them as my team.
THEN.... at about 11 yrs old I was all about the "Silver & Black"!!! & that continued until I moved to Nashville & actually attended my first NFL game...... And I retired my RAIDERS while they were still good, & became totally hooked on the TITANS!
**funny how the very next season after I let them go, the RAIDERS went to the Super Bowl...... & LOST.... and haven't recovered yet. Maybe they really miss me?? LOL!

Now, having a team right here in my backyard is just AWESOME!
So......
GO TITANS!!!

I like the Panthers to win it all. They are a salty bunch.

I heard an interview with WR Muhsin Muhammud the week before the 07' Super Bowl, he was talking about his relationship with Jesus and how no matter the outcome of the game, the real game has already been won. He was not expecting the question about his faith and when he heard it his eyes just lit up and he was like 'Oohhh man, Jesus Christ my Lord and savior....man I am straight SOLD OUT for Jesus man!' ...he went on to get pretty serious about his walk and being a slave to righteousness etc and even quoted Romans 6 and 2 Corinthians 5:17. It was awesome, and I have been following him ever since. Now he's got Steve Smith on the other side so he's getting a lot of single coverage this year and is making the most of it.

GO PANTHERS!!

I'm going to say the Ravens win 24 to 18....

Years ago, I was too. It was really bad at one point. There was even airborne furniture. I'll leave it at that.

Like you, I learned to resist making the heavy emotional investment into the team's success. I don't even know how I started doing it in the first place. I'm so glad I've stopped though (especially with a team like the Eagles!). Now I can truly watch and enjoy the game for what it is. Its only a game. For some reason(s), Philadelphia is especially notable for its' fans' heavy emotional investment. I'm thinking its the dreary, static, spirit-crushing setting of the city of Philadelphia (fans' activities at games resemble a religious experience!). I guess Pittsburgh would also fit that description from what I've seen there in my one visit. I had never seen so many taverns in one place in my life.

I think that a good fit for Mcnabb would be the Vikings. They've already got a decent defense in place, they play indoors, have a great running attack, and the beginnings of a decent offensive line.

I agree. My thoughts of the whole thing with McNabb is....if Andy Reid decides to call it quits.....and they don't win a Superbowl.....McNabb is going to go to someone who can get him that Superbowl ring. Minnesota would be perfect for him as you said. But I can't leave out teams like.....

Baltimore....who has a good QB, but he is a Rookie. He did not make the rookie mistakes like most rookies do. He will make those mistakes next year....simply b/c he is going to get to sure of himself.

Dolphins....who did OK with Pennington, but if our GM (the Tuna) has a chance to pickup a McNabb, you better believe that he will go after him. McNabb would do well in a warmer claimant.

I also think that we would have to throw into the mix teams like San Diego, Denver, and Tampa Bay. They all could use good leaders on there team. And McNabb would bring that leadership to there ball clubs.

Those are my thoughts anyway

but who am I.....I'm just one of those FB nuts who thinks he can run a team better then the GM's can:rofl:

Hey you guys and gals sports fans. I started a thread (Fantasy Baseball). What I am proposing is starting a Fantasy Baseball League for anybody who is a member here on the Bible Forums. This would be a private League that would be set up by me, and the only people who could get into this league would be those from this Bible Forums, who I give the pass word to. Nobody else would be allowed into it. In my thread I have the break down of how your team would look....it is pretty basic.....and I could help anyone through anything they did not understand.

We would need 12 teams to make a complete league. But we don't need 12 teams to form a league. As long as we have four teams we can form a league. We just would need more then two, and no more then 12, and it must be an even number of teams. I have one already who is willing to play. So that makes two of us. Is there anyone else who would like to have some fun managing there own Major League Baseball Team.

Let me know,

God Bless,

Dave

I was surprised to see the Chargers beat the Colts in the playoffs. The AFC is pretty unpredictable now.

Ravens Win
Cards Win
Giants Win
Steelers Win

Then next week Giants and Ravens Win and we have a rematch of Superbowl XXXV

Of course I am a Giants fan so I am a little bias but this is how I see it happening

I'll go for Steelers for now (my bro's team), but it's going to be tough for them to beat the Ravens again. Hopefully Baltimore is overconfident after knocking off Ten.

So the Cardinals are the NFC champs.....I was wondering if Kurt got to glorify God for the win? I didn't see it, did they televise it?

Yes, he did get to glorify God and my prediction from the beginning of the playoffs was Cardinals/Steelers in Super Bowl...............1 more game and it may come true!!

It appears as though the Eagles missed the plane to Arizona (we were watching imposters during the 1st half), showed up for the 3rd quarter, then succumbed to jetlag in the 4th quarter.
