View Full Version : Please Help: My Father's Death

Well, the Lord does answer prayer. After praying for 22 years about advice about my biological father, I found out he died a few months ago. His old roommate got his phone number and called him. She begged him to meet me before his death. He refused saying he has no money. He is gone now. He was only 62 years old. I was never meant to meet him. I did pray for his family and that I hope he accepted Christ before his death. I have two half-sisters and a half-brother my age. I just feel so upset and empty, it's hard to explain.:(:(

 I am praying for you, hon, and for those who knew your biological father well. I can only imagine how hard that would be to find out, and the way you're feeling would be common.... but please know you're absolutely right in understanding that God answered your prayer this way -- maybe to remind you that your heavenly Father loves you always...

Yes, I know He does, and I love my Father as well. He is faithful. I am glad my prayer was answered, and will continue to pray for his family and turn to God.
God bless

I am sorry. Take some time for yourself and grieve. I know it will seem odd to grieve for someone you never knew...but we still do. We grieve what we didn't have.
Praying for you.
God bless

 You don't have to try to explain. Of course you feel that way. You have suffered a loss while at the same time you don't really know what you have lost. I pray the Lord will comfort your heart and give you more than what you have lost.

I'm sorry. That's all I know to say... may the Lord heal your hurts and answer your questions.

You have my sympathy - my biological father has refused to have anything to do with me as well.

I am very sorry that you are suffering so! It seems there may be a lot of "what ifs." Only God knows the end from the beginning...and HE always knows what is best for us!!!! So, take comfort in HIS Word!! I pray that the Lord will overwhelm you with HIS love and peace, as only HE can do!!!
God Bless:hug:

God rarely closes a door without opening another. My prayers for your continued growth and moving closer to your brother. I pray that he knows the Lord, if not, I know the seeds you will be planting will bear fruit.
Blessings.

I pray that God will put all the puzzl pieces together for you, and that soon you will understand. I am praying for you as well, and I understand this emptyness, but God can and will fill it.:pray::hug:
