My wife and 15 year old son just got back from parents evening. His cookery teacher says he'll get a 'c!' My wife and I find this funny, but our son who's autistic does not.
He's already got A in English, A in Maths which he wants to retake to get an A*. All his other teachers say he'll get A's at least. He's top in German and one of the sciences at least.
Should we be more concerned that this Cookery teacher says he'll get a C? I suppose on the results sheet it will make the list look unperfect! SofTy.

Is cookery like home economics?
Well, it may be safe to say that you don't have a future chef on your hands. :D
That C is going to mess with his sense of order, isn't it?
Although I have a son who isn't autistic and gets mad if he doesn't get A's in everything (even though he by no means deserves them, and he knows it). So ... what are you gonna do?
Tell him he has to cook a meal for you guys, and you'll give him an A for it to make the list of A's complete so he can be at ease. Teacher ... schmeacher. ;)

Actually he's not good at dance, PE, or acting. I think the 'C' will do him and us a lot of good. :) 3 or 4 years ago he shone at sports day too, but that was little races and throwing bean bags. Now it's rough stuff, I think he keeps his head down.
I left school before my exams. I left home at 15 (literally on my 15th birthday), because my parents had a messy divorce. Then became ill for about 8 years.
I'm just so pleased I can help my children achieve at school in a way I never had a chance too. I can't complain, my school taught me a lot and a respect for reading and learning. Since finding faith, my passion for reading and learning is on over-drive. SofTy.
