In Jesus Name, Set us free from bondage

The thing I believe we forget is ... that God's word is like a mirror to us ... it shows that we are sinful ... and it shows how insidious our sins are ... but sometimes we forget that when we keep seeking God ... and know that He gave his Son Jesus as the way ... and we continually keep our eyes on Him ... the chains of bondage can be broken. And sometimes we need intercessory prayers from others to help lift us up ... and need to pray fervently ourselves. Now ... I also need this type of thing for my own strong holds ... mine is smoking triggered by narcissistic abuse. I need to learn to pray more for others and myself ... and wish that others would pray for me. I hear so many times of people being set free from bondage because they had a praying Mamma. So lets learn to pray for other's bondage as well as our own.

Dear Heavenly Father ... we come to you in Jesus name. We are here on this thread struggling with strongholds ... please give us the desire to (first) want "to want" to leave our addictions ... and please break these chains of bondage that hold us captive.

Please open our eyes and change our hearts and give us the strength to endure the process and consequence while these chains are being broken.

Please Lord ... let us come together where two or more are gathered in agreement and prayer ... and it shall be done.

Prayer is our connector to our Heavnely Father!! I stand in agreement with any of my brothers and sisters who is experiencing bondage/addictions or whatever. Lord God, YOU did not give us a spirit of fear or timidity!!! We are to be bold in our Walk with YOU, OH FATHER GOD! We are to come boldly to the throne...YOU are our HEAVENLY Father!!! We are YOUR temple and we should not defile it in any way. We are to be obedient to YOU and follow what YOUR Word says; we are to seek YOU and all of YOUR promises that YOU made to us will be added!!!! Yes, we do confess our sins and are forgiven and we are saved by grace, but we need to know YOU and want to obey, YOU, FATHER. So, I bind and command the spirit of addiction that is on this poster to be cast it into the abyss, in the precious name of Jesus! Be free of this spirit and be cleansed, in Jesus' name. It is good to use the tools that he has provided. Another tool I like is an accountability partner. Can't smoke without talking to them. Good stuff.

I just read this today in my morning bible reading from 2 Timothy. This scripture leads me to prayer for all of us here:;

"But God's word is not chained." (2 Tim 2:9b) NIV..

Lord, grant that your Word not be chained here and anywhere on the forum..let it break through and help give healing, strength, inspiration, encouragement, conviction, and peace to all those who search out the scriptures and earnestly desire freedom and healing.

Heavenly Father,

Today I pray for all those who are struggling with addictions and/or worldly feelings and ways. Lord, you know those chains of bondage can be so strong that some days it can feel more difficult than others, but we know that you are a merciful, loving God and you will come to our rescue. I pray, in the name of Jesus, that you break the chains of bondage the enemy has used on us and free us from captivity for it is written:

"HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED..."

And in the words of Christ: "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."

Father God, give everyone strength to stand firm against the temptations of the enemy and to raise their shield and sword, gathering strength from You.

I pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ...Amen.

Lord, I pray this morning that you send able and wise posters here who can give helpful replies to those who are seeking help..those who truly walk in repentance and can share their victory in Christ. I pray for our section of this counseling corner..that we can focus on you, O, Lord, and truly give you glory here. Give us all courage, strength, grace, and help us persevere in continuing our walk with you.
