Or you have repented, by not doing the sin since asking for forgiveness? If so, have you surrendered the forgiven sin to God so the enemy cannot use it against you as it seems he's doing... if you have repented.

Is there something else weighing on your heart? If you still feel guilt it could be because there's some aspect of the sin you're still holding on to, or perhaps you hurt someone and are still afraid to ask for their forgiveness. Or maybe you're afraid you'll do it again because you want relief from guilt but haven't truly repented.

Do any of those sound like you? Those are usually the reasons I continue to feel that my sin has not yet been lifted.

You may just have to pray for the assurance that God HAS forgiven you and, in His name, reject any voices within you that tell you otherwise.

Hi Confessing Sins,
First of all, God's grace is inexhaustible. Your sin debt was satisfied by the Lord Jesus on the cross at Calvary for once and for all. The only thing God wants from you is that you believe/trust in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ who was obedient unto death in shedding his precious blood for you. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. The moment you trust Christ, you are sealed into His Body for eternity, no matter what you do or don't do afterwards (2 Timothty 2:13).

Remember, we are still all sinners and continue to sin on a daily basis. And most of the time it's not that we want to (sin), its because it's in our old nature. Every believer has two natures though : The old man and the new man and they constantly war against each other. Besides not everyone can remember every single sin they ever committed throughout their lives - it is totally impossible to do that, because that would mean that if I committed a sin when I was 18 years old and have forgotten about it and haven't confessed it, that would mean I am condemned. Rather trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour and have faith that He has paid for all your sins - past, present and future.

We must truly repent daily meaning admit it and quit it, then expect that our Lord Christ will make up for what we lack and make us rightous. Key thing is that we TRULY repent.

You cant truly repent until you've given up whatever you've asked forgiveness for, we should never be happy that we have sinned, but we do need to rejoice that there is someone that became our sacrificial lamb (Messiah)

So if you truly do feel that God spoke to your heart, then you should have no doubt about your salvation.
Also remember that there is NOTHING that you have done that can't be forgiven (short of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit). If that is what's bothering you, then you need to know that it's the devil trying to make you feel guilty about your acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Colossians 1:12-14
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

You see, I did a lot of really bad things out there, things I thought were truly unforgivable. But I found out that no matter what I'd done, Jesus paid the price for my sins (and yours too). He shed His blood for us so that we would have redemption from our sins. If you think that what you did was bad, check out my signature (and look through the testimonies section as well). I'm sure that what you've done has been done before and then some. Just know that our Heavenly Father is waiting for you with open arms. Waiting for you to return to the flock.

God bless

It is no longer about sin, Jesus died for all of that.
Just walk before God with all your heart.
When you feel your desire rise up and sin crouching at the door, start talking to God about it all, how you are feeling and how you are finding your self heading back there again. How part of you wants it and how another part of you doesn't.
Take every thought captive and bring it to God. What do you think of this thought God?
It's about trusting your life into Gods hands so He might transform you into someone who honors God from the heart.

You will also find a tactic of our enemy is to spiritually somehow whisper in your ear and plant thoughts and then try to convince you that they are your thoughts, and that you are guilty and unacceptable even unsavable. Some of it can be from your flesh, but that is more about want and desire first, then becomes thoughts. The stuff that seems to come out of the blue, that's more likely a spiritual attack

But then there is the cross, which says you are guilty and unacceptable even unsavable because of what you are, you must die. So Jesus died for you because of what you are, so He might make you what you are meant to be.

Some times things in our past hold us away from God and we need to confess or are compelled to confess. It is a major step in your road to recovery. I suggest you write down every sin that you can remember no mater how small and I mean all sins - don't hold back it will take some time and when you are done you will know because you will feel relief , then the next step is to pray for forgiveness and if possible do a complete confession with someone you trust or if is too much to be able to do that - go to a catholic church (make an appointment)- whether catholic or not and tell the priest that you wish to confess, bring your list and make a full confession face to face with the priest. After the confession I'm sure the priest will have something to say , listen , and when you leave go to a peaceful place and burn the paper that you have written all your sins on and thank Jesus for forgiveness and I guarantee that you will feel peace that day that you have never felt before. Some people don't believe in a public confession but they did do it in the onset of the christian faith and Catholics still do it to this day. It doesn't give you a pass to go out and sin but it does give you the fresh start in life that you need. Some people will say I'm wrong but if you do it like I said above you will feel peace and feel you have a fresh start.
Oh ya - put the list in a very safe place - you wouldn't want someone to get a hold of it - and burn it when your finished confessing. I really suggest that you go to a priest to get the full effect of the confession.I need to add that you are not confessing to the priest that you are confessing to God, the priest or whom ever you choose is only a witness - and I suggest the priest because he is bound by his vows not to reveal your sins to anyone - others I don't know if you can trust because they are not bound by vows to God.

Again, sin is a matter of the heart.
Don't merely confess the results of your sin (your actions) but ask God to expose the heart behind those actions.

Well thankyou - that is one of the effects of doing a full and complete confession .

No you do not need to tell anyone what the sin was, unless it would be helpful for you to overcome it. The reason I say this is according to James 5:16-"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

However, many times the voice we hear is our own because of our own guilt over what we have done. God forgives us when we confess.

1 John 1:9-"If we confess our sins,He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Psalm 103:12-"As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us."

You need to ask the Lord to help you get over the guilt. He will.

Thanks for your help. I am having less trouble about everything including the end of the world. I kinda learned to relex because God has everything under control.
