View Full Version : Wicked dreams

I had a nightmare a few hours ago which is making it difficult for me to sleep right now. A couple was in their car headed for hell. The road was full of cars and the traffic was bumper to bumper and I could sense their fear. I'm getting chills right now while typing. The dream segment flashed into another time where the couple was still alive and hanging by a jacuzzi. The boyfriend attacked a latin girl and was about to kill her, but he didn't. The girlfriend seemed to realize there would be dire consequences as she was able to somehow see into that hell path from the earlier dream sequence. The gf seemed to make things right by preventing her bf from committing homicide. I can't interpret what that nightmare meant, but I can say that the visual effect was extremely scary. I wasn't actually part of the dream itself. It felt more like watching a movie, but that road to hell with all those cars was a horrific sight. What I took from the nightmare was the gf wanted to avoid going to hell which she somehow saw and was able to do so by keeping her bf in check. I literally can't fall asleep right now and I never get scared at night.

Have you prayed about this since you woke up? Ask God to take this fear from you.

I prayed and I'm not afraid. I practice mma, bench 335 lbs., and yet I can get scared from a nightmare. I feel like half a man right now.

There is no reason to feel that way. Everyone has a fear of something whether they admit to it or not.

I was taught to face my fears, but I had chills thinking about this nightmare. I suppose the interpretation of the dream is that in my mind there are way too many unsaved people. Bumper to bumper traffic headed for flames. It was an awful nightmare and one that I hope each and every one of us avoids becoming a reality. I realized a long time ago that the whole world can not be saved, but we can reach out one person at a time.

I used to have terrible dreams. They have subsided over time, but when I had a bad dream, the first thing I would always do after awaking is for the Lord to calm me down and bring me peace so that I can think straight. I pray and then go to the Bible. Just because you aren't scared doesn't necessarily mean that you weren't shaken. Our Father in Heaven can bring you that comfort you need.

True indeed, FS. The Lord is the source of comfort and our protector against the evil one.

Hey bro, thanks for sharing your dream with us. Indeed it sounded like it was a very traumatic one. I must ask though, have you asked the Lord if the dream was from Him, and if it was, for an interpretation?

Please pray about this and take with a grain of salt, but I felt led to post this. Perhaps the Lord is speaking to you through the dream, motivating you to witness to the lost and dying world around you. Maybe He's showing you that hell is indeed REAL, and MANY people are walking right into it because of their rebellion against God. Perhaps He's showing you that even though the sinfulness of society seems to be infinitely increasing, that people still do have consciences and desire to listen to them but feel so hopeless with nowhere to turn. That deep down inside whether they will admit it or not, that sinners know their ultimate end if they are not born again. And while so many people are on the road to hell - there are still some that crave to be pulled from their sinful paths and lay down their lives for Jesus Christ. It's up to us to give these the truth of the gospel, especially in these last days.

Anyway, please pray about this and seek the Lord's guidance. I really sense the Lord was speaking to you through this dream.

God bless,
Matt

Edit: You know, take it for what you will, but I didn't even notice your #5 post until after I wrote this reply! It sounds like you were already on the right track though. You are so right... we point the lost to the Throne of Grace one person at a time :)

Matt, thanks for the good word. I'm not an ordaned minister or someone who knows the Bible particularly well, but I am a believer with unwavering faith. My dreams sometimes have pinpoint accuracy like the time I asked my brother what percentage of people go to hell and he gave me the exact same answer in my dream as he did in the waking world. We had never discussed this topic before, but I dreamed he said 98%. I woke up and when I saw him in the kitchen, I decided to ask him and I was shocked when he said 98% in real life. This is why dreams can sometimes be chilling. I never believed I was some sort of psychic, but I do believe there is a strong, subliminal message you get from dreams. I will pray over this.
