I have trouble doing the right thing. I have an urge to smash things. I've gone into derelict buildings and smashed windows and stuff. I tend to think it's not anything people are using, so I'm not harming anyone, but it seems wrong. What do you think? Does anyone else have similar thoughts? Andrew.

Why so angry?
Also, do you get enough physical exercise to do something constructive with all that energy you've got?

I'm not angry. I enjoy doing it. Andrew.

Well, even abandoned buildings belong to somebody. And so I'd strongly encourage you to refrain from that and put all that energy towards something constructive, like physical exercise, maybe mowing a neighbor's yard, helping somebody carry groceries, helping mom around the house and so forth. :)

Human destruction is almost always rooted in anger. While you say you enjoy the destruction, is it because you feel some sort of release when you watch a window shatter?
I'm with Dani - look for ways to use your energy in constructive ways. Let us know what you activities you come up with.

Lift weights, go swimming, jog.
You have lots of pent up energy. You have to let it out somehow! Try it and see if you feel better.

I think that you've got a problem, and that you need to talk to someone about it. If you're a Christian, and have a good pastor (or simply know some wise elder brethren), you really should talk to him or them; there are limitations to what you can get from an online forum. It may be that you need to talk to a professional. I'm not saying that you're crazy: I'm not crazy, either, but I suffer from a mental illness (Major Depression), and have benefited enormously from the compassionate assistance of professionals.
It's not smashing things that's the issue. It's why you enjoy doing it. A wise pastor, or a professional counselor, might help you learn some things about yourself that will be very helpful. And it might not be anything very heavy; it may be a very temporary thing, that will not cause continuing difficulties. But you don't know that. In any case, I wish you well!

Actually if you get caught you'll probably be charged with felonies, the initial breaking and entering with the intent to commit a crime which is a felony and also if your breaking so much stuff the cost of what you broke would probably add up to a felony...you don't need that.
Find some help, talk to a counselor or someone to help you figure out what to do. Find a hobby, look into boxing or wrestling...

You need to find a legal, more safe channel for those destructive tendencies.
Speaking for myself, when the urge to smash something used to become overwhelming I'd shred a catalog instead. But for me, the urge to smash something was very much rooted in anger.
I've heard of people building something with Lego, for example, and smashing it.
It wouldn't hurt to talk to a professional counselor or the like.

If you haven't already, you need to see a doctor about this. The Lord tells us to tremble but do not sin. If you are destroying others' things you are in sin and need to stop immediately. Christians should have no joy in destroying something that doesn't belong to them.
