Has anyone here been watching Kings? If so, what do you think of it?
If you have not heard of it before, Kings is a drama on network tv that retells 1 Samuel in a modern setting. It starts with the David vs. Goliath story and ends with David as the new king.
Personally, I am enjoying it so far. (NBC aired the first 5 episodes in March and April, but now the show is in hiatus until June 13th due to low ratings.) I like the political maneuverings / court intrigues and the originality of the concept, i.e., not another drama about cops, lawyers, or doctors and not reality tv. Also, its sparked a new found interest in the Bible and Bible-era history.
