Depressed

For some time ive been depressed. anytime i crawl into the tunel to hell under my bed, the demons call me names. or is it devils? anyhow. they yell and scream and poke me with sharp things. but i do keep going, I never give up! I try to turn the other cheek like im supposed to but the claw wounds keep building up, and my parents keep calling me a failure. At least I think thats what they're saying, its hard to hear anymore

My dad did that to me for years. Always telling me I'd never amount to anything. I was nothing and would never be anything. That I didn't have anything to offer anyone. Anytime someone would compliment me or praise me, my dad would insult me.

It took me a loooong time to realize that I was important. I did mean something to someone. And that his outlook on life and people didn't have to be my outlook.

Anyway, you remember that you're a SOMEBODY in Jesus. And because you're a SOMEBODY, Jesus died for you. And because you're a SOMEBODY, Jesus loves you. And because you're a SOMEBODY, Jesus chose you to be His.

Look at yourself in the mirror and quote to yourself all your wonderful positive attributes. Take a peek at what talents you've been blessed with; see what gifts God has flowing through you. Look at your heart...you won't see failure. I'm sure you'll see a chosen child of God who is held very dear to the Father's heart.

I'm sure there's people on this board who will tell you they love you. And they will support you as ever they can. You need support; you need encouragement; not only lift up your eyes to Your Maker, lean on these good people. They tend to make good listeners as well as offering up some awesome prayers.

Keep looking directly at the Son.:)
