My Mom went to be with her Lord on Aug 14,2007. I just wanted to share something with my friends on this board. The night she died all seven of her children were standing around her bedside. My Mom was a very strong Christian and always talked about God and how even though she wasn't ready to die, she was looking forward to meeting Him one day. Well, the second she took her last breath the first thing that went through my mind was, and I told my sister, just think, Mother is with God right now! The scripture that says"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" just kept running through my mind. I just knew how much my Mom was looking forward to meeting her Lord one day and she was finally with him. I don't think I will ever stop missing her but just knowing where she is gives me comfort.

You are so right! That makes all the difference in the world when you are going through the grieving process. Praise the Lord for HIS gift of peace and joy in your life. One day, we, as Christians, will all get to meet your mom! Alleluia! Glory to God!
God bless:)

What a wonderful testimony!!
I attended a funeral of a friend whose mother had passed away. She said, "The best present my mother gave me was for me to know that she was a Christian, because I have such peace knowing where she is right now".
Even though you miss your mother, I'm glad you can enjoy this peace, knowing she is rejoicing with Jesus.

Oh boy can I relate! Knowing that my Grammie was gone to be with Christ helped me accept her death even when it was emminent. Of course, the selfish part- me mising her- is tough. But knowing she is with our Lord is such a joy!

I can relate very much since I have lost my father, mother, sister, and two closest friends..and I am confident that they are with the Lord. I look forward to meeting them someday again..:)
