Importance of Others

We've had some old family friends of ours come and stay with us for awhile. The older son has been a friend of mine since we were in diapers. And having them here reminded me of how important and encouraging it is to surround yourself with brothers and sisters in Christ. Just this morning, hearing their family devotions and prayer before heading out, it really lifted my spirits. Got me pumped about spending more time with the Lord. People with a genuine love for God can have a great affect on your attitude and can help set your heart in the right direction. If you have a tendency to isolate yourself from others...don't. Brothers and sisters are meant to lean on each other and bring each other up. I pray that each of us would remember that and be encouraged by it.

Amen. I just came back from my accountability group. What a blessing to see others living their lives for Christ. How empowered it makes us feel to see that others can persevere as we can!

So very true! That's why the Bible is adamant about Christian fellowship! Praise the Lord for your Christian friends!!

That is so awesome. And so like God to bring that situation to pass to rekindle and reignite that passion for Him and His word. :D

Amen friends and others in Christ are those valuable jewels that we collect along lifes path that hold us together when were falling apart sometimes and vise versa . When every thing else shuts the door in a Christians face , :cry: real ones open theirs and what a Blessing they are just to be there and be real with us as we embrace being together and being in Christ :pray: I share in that prayer Amen
