I am new and have a few questions...

Are newbies not allowed to view profiles, or send PM's?

I was sent a link by rep by a poster here to her blog and I wanted to comment on it, but that is restricted also.

In addition, I wanted to post in the "Polls" threads and there is no "reply" function.

How long does this restriction last?

It should be up for you Des, but we are having some profile issues today. Try again tomorrow and let us know if it is not cleared up.

Ps. I think the restriction is 40 posts, but there may be a time limit also.

Heya, Des. I know you've got well over 10 posts and a positive reputation, but the third criteria for everything kicking in is being here for 7 days. I see you signed up on July 2, so just give it a couple more days and you should be good to go. It's just a forum default.

And by the way, Polls as a forum is closed, so nobody can respond to threads there.
