View Full Version : This hurts
Brother Mark
Aug 24th 2009, 12:03 AM
I cried out to God "This hurts."
He said "I know it does son."
When will it stop?
He said... nothing.
What did I do wrong? Did I sin.
He said "You did not sin."
This hurts God!
"I know it does son."
What can I do?
"Lean on me."
But it still hurts.
"I know it does son."
Father, comfort me.
"I hurt too my son."
Thank you for listening Father.
Heb 13:5-6
"I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," 6 so that we confidently say,
"THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.
WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?"

Thank you Brother Mark :hug:
I like this Psalm it brings me comfort and eases my hurt.....
77: 1 My voice rises to God, and I will cry aloud;
My voice rises to God, and He will hear me.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord;
In the night my hand was stretched out without weariness;
My soul refused to be comforted.
3 When I remember God, then I am disturbed;
When I sigh, then my spirit grows faint. Selah.
4 You have held my eyelids open;
I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
5 I have considered the days of old,
The years of long ago.
6 I will remember my song in the night;
I will meditate with my heart,
And my spirit ponders:
7 Will the Lord reject forever?
And will He never be favorable again?
8 Has His lovingkindness ceased forever?
Has His promise come to an end forever?
9 Has God forgotten to be gracious,
Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion? Selah.
10 Then I said, "It is my grief,
That the right hand of the Most High has changed."
11 I shall remember the deeds of the LORD;
Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
12 I will meditate on all Your work
And muse on Your deeds.
13 Your way, O God, is holy;
What god is great like our God?
14 You are the God who works wonders;
You have made known Your strength among the peoples.
15 You have by Your power redeemed Your people,
The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

Yes, thanks Mark, good thoughts in your post. I am facing a difficult situation with a real problematic person in my life right now. And I forget that if I am hurting because of the pain this one is inflicting not only on me but on others as well..so too is the Holy Spirit grieved.
God knows and understands and I praise Him for it! Meanwhile, I pray! :pray:
Peace and blessings,

Thank you, Mark.
The scripture I've been meditating on this past year:
Isaiah 43:
1 But now, this is what the LORD says—
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
In Christ,
Jen

In Psalm 22, David speaks the words that Jesus spoke on the cross,
MY God, MY God, Why has though forsaken me.
In Psalm 23, David proclaims, the Lord is my Shepherd.
Sometimes he seems far away, but we need to stay faithful as we know he IS faithful. Continue to work our way through it and allow us, through discipline, to lead us out the other side.
Don't know where to begin
Its like my world's caving in
And I try but I can't control my fear
Where do I go from here?
sometimes its so hard to pray
When You feel so far away
But I am willing to go
Where you want me to
God, I trust You
There's a raging sea
Right in front of me
Wants to pull me in
Bring me to my knees
So let the waters rise
If You want them to
I will follow You
I will follow You
I will follow You
I will swim in the deep
'Cuz You'll be next to me
You're in the eye of the storm
And the calm of the sea
You'll never out of reach
God, You know where I've been
You were there with me then
You were faithful before
You'll be faithful again
I'm holding Your hand
There's a raging sea
Right in front of me
Wants to pull me in
Bring me to my knees
So let the waters rise
If You want them to
I will follow You
I will follow You
I will follow You
God Your love is enough
You will pull me through
I'm holding onto You
God Your love is enough
I will follow You
I will follow You
