Hey,

I'm studying to be an actor. I really want to do well, and I think I do, but I need some help with my acting technique. Can anyone help me here? I would really appreciate it.

I am familiar with the Meisner technique, but I haven't worked with Strasberg or Adler. I have checked out Uta Hagen's book and her acting technique movie. Also, I started watching a movie w/Michael Chekhov's technique, and it looks fascinating, but I haven't seen the whole thing.

By the way, did anyone see Mickey Rourke's new movie The Wrestler? Dang, that is a touching movie. It's great.

Well, lemme know what you think.

Hey there! Acting's VERY fun. I haven't done it seriously at all (just for fun with church or school groups), or studied it, although I think if I recall correctly, some of our members have.... so hopefully they pop in here!

How long have you been acting for? Which directors are your favourites?

Why can't I post this on Anything goes? That's kind of strange...

I have been acting for 4 years now, and I kind of jumped head first into it, but I'm so glad I did because I love it so so much.

Some of my favorite directors are Paul Thomas Anderson, Martin Scorsese, Alan Ball, etc etc. I really like to watch the nitty gritty type movies.
