POSTING GUIDELINES - PLEASE RESPECT THEM
As a private, moderated, Christian Message Board, we welcome people of all Christian denominations to post here. Unfortunately we also know from experience there always seem to be those select few who join solely for the purpose of mocking the faith of the members of the board or otherwise stirring up trouble for the sake of stirring up trouble. If this describes your motivation for joining, save both yourself and us the time and trouble and go elsewhere. We will not tolerate the mocking of our board, our members, our faith, and most importantly, our Lord.
I. Board Policy
This board is for an exploration of the mainstream Christian Protestant faith, and not the faith of other religions. We appreciate and respect other faiths and beliefs, and ask that they do the same while here. Posts running counter to Christianity and the Bible as explained in the Scripture must be in the appropriate category, and framed in such a way as to earnestly seek clarification. Proselytizing, Bible/Christian bashing, and rude conduct are expressly forbidden. Posts may be edited for content or deleted at the sole discretion of the moderators/administrators of this message board. We reserve the right to remove any posts without notice to the author or those who have replied.
II. Account Restrictions
Each person may only have one account. People using multiple accounts may be banned. We reserve the right to suspend the posting privileges of any registered member without notice. Please note that on occasion a member may be blocked from accessing certain forums or using the private message system at the discretion of the moderators.
For more information on account privileges, please visit our FAQs forum.Cooling Off/Coffee Break status is designated for members at times to discuss rule violations or clarify issues in private with the moderators. The goal of this temporary restriction is to come to an agreement/resolution in order to get the member back on the board with no account restrictions.
A Permanent Ban will result from severe abuse of the board or multiple “coffee breaks” as described above.
III. General Rules
Please note that most of the subforums have their own specific set of guidelines. Make sure to read them before posting in that forum. Some general board-wide guidelines are:
....... a. Pay attention to forum categories and post threads in the best fit forum.b. Please do not derail existing topics with a largely unrelated discussion.
c. Be gracious to other posters. No insults, flaming, name calling or personal attacks, etc.
When someone disagrees with you, by all means discuss it; but be slow to anger, and rather be
eager to get into the Word and find the answers.
d. No trolling, soliciting members for donations, or spamming in either posts or via PM.
Please do not link to commercial websites in your posts, profile or signature.
e. Please respect the privacy of others on the board. Do not share info you have received in private messages with others. Also: do not ask the moderators as to any issues between the staff and another poster. Quite honestly, it’s not anyone else’s business.
f. No linking to cultic material, sites that mock God, atheist sites, immoral sites, porn, etc.
g. No linking or soliciting to members other Christian message boards in posts, signatures, profiles or PM's, rep system, etc.
h. No posting copyrighted material without written permission of copyright holder.
i. Please don’t post the same topic more than once or in more than one forum. (cross-posting)
j. Non-Christians may post only in Introductions, Christian Answers, Kicking Back and Chat to the Moderators forum.
k. If you post a link to another site, be it a video, article... whatever: Give a description of what it is that they will see. Just posting a link with a message such as "hey, check this out." will result in your post or thread being deleted.
IV. Specific Rules
Unorthodox teachings or discussing specific doctrines of ANY of these religions will be moved to
the "World Religions" Forum:
Teachings of ANY of these religions and discussion of specific doctrines may be discussed only in the World Religions forum
in the interest of seeking factual representation and refuting any doctrinal differences from mainstream Protestantism:
1. Seventh Day Adventist (SDA)
2. Jehovah's Witnesses (JW)
3. Latter Day Saints (LDS)
4. ANY non-Christian religion, such as Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Wicca, etc.
5. Roman Catholicism.
6. ONENESS (DENIAL OF THE TRINITY/DEITY of Christ)
7. Universalism of any sort to include Universal Reconciliation
This is not just for posting messages on the open board. If you use the various systems on the message board to promote these doctrines (such as Private Messaging or Rep system etc.) then we will take appropriate action.
V. Non- Christians Non-believers
We welcome any earnest seeker who comes in peace and we will answer
your questions to the best of our ability to help you understand our faith.
Please understand this forum is not here for you to preach YOUR beliefs, Proselytize your faith or to mock ours
but to ask earnest questions about our faith. If your posts prove you are not here seeking and are here to provoke,
mock or ridicule your posting privileges will be cooled or banned.
You are allowed to posts ONLY in Introductions forum, Chat to the Moderators forum and start your threads
containing your questions and inquiries for clarification of our beliefs in the Christian Answer forum (http://www.bibleforums.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=39) and its
sub-forum Kicking Back all other posts will be deleted or moved to that forum. The rest of the board is reserved
for Christian fellowship.

Please read before posting.

VI. Official Board Policy on the "organized" Church and Bible Forums as a "Church"
Of late, there have been numerous threads on "coming out of the organized church" and there have been numerous post made in a variety of other threads with this same tilt. Here is our stand as leaders of this message board.
We are not going to be a Message Board that allows for total bashing of the "organized" or even "disorganized" church. If you have biblical truth to share in offering a solution to what you see as a problem... PLEASE share. If your aim is to just come in here and preach "come out from among" this church then you will not be allowed to continue.
For those of you who consider Bible Forums as your "church/fellowship" then let me be the first to tell you... Get real. This is not a local gathering of believers and that is what we need and it is very much a biblical requirement. We operate in a biblical manner as best as can be done within this medium. We are a gathering of believers. We can talk about the Bible and pray for each other and do many things that are similar to that gathering of believers laid out in the Bible. BUT there are MANY things that we cannot do and it is those many things that discount us as your "church/fellowship." If we see you say such as that then your post WILL BE deleted because we dare not allow a new or weaker believer think this a proper thing to believe. We would be derelict in our duty to allow any such as that.
We greatly appreciate your participation in this venue and it is all of you who make this Message Board one of the best on the Web. We enjoy the discussion and the fact that we have so many various views and can discuss them reasonably (most times ;)) and without all of you this board would be rather boring and would have long ago faded away as many such Message Boards have on the Net. But it is all of our responsibility, as a whole body, to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. So let's focus our attention on actually helping others, regardless of where they worship, and thus we become a strengthened and edified body of believers. That doesn't mean we're always going to agree (we aren't). But even in our disagreement we can become stronger.
Here are some other guidelines to consider. These might just need to be incorporated into specific forum rules.
Such threads will be hosted in Bible Chat or Contro forums.
In the Growing in Christ and Familes forums, we will encourage participation of individuals and families in a local congregation. That could be a house Church or an organized Church, but we don't want doubtful views of either in these forums.
One's views should only be presented without demeaning any other form of Church.
We believe there are called ministers and leaders placed in the Church of God. Therefore we do not encourage posts which impugn these positions in the body of Christ.
VII. Member Agreement
Registration to this forum is free. We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed above.
By signing up on this forum you hereby agree to the following terms:
You further agree that you are over the age of 13. You agree that you have read these terms in full, and you agree to be bound by these terms when using this Message Board.

You will conduct yourself in a manner that is respectful of the rights, dignity and privacy of others.
We reserve the right to delete any message or thread, to ban a screen name, IP address, domain name, or email address for any reason we feel is deserved.

VIII. Registration Tips
You will be sent an initial verification email to the email address you provide when you signup. This email must be a valid
email address. If the message sent to you is deleted by your system or tagged as spam whitelist *@bibleforums.org or
in your spam folder for the email. If it is not there, click here (http://www.bibleforums.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45967) to have the system resend the email to you. You must click
the link in the email to activate your account. You will not be able to post messages until you do. Passwords are case

NOTE: If you are using a hotmail or MSN email account then you will not receive your verification email. This is not an issue on our part but is an Internet Wide issue because of some things MSN is doing with their email program. Until it is fixed... there is simply nothing we can do. So use a different account. Also, at this time, AOL accounts will not be accepted due to spam issues.
IX. Social Groups
1. If you start a social social group, you are responsible for it. You have full moderation rights on your social group so be sure to use them wisely. If more than 3 legitimate (legitimate meaning at the sole discretion of forum leadership) complaints are received in any 14 day period, your group may be suspended or even deleted since it would show obvious negligence on your part in taking firm leadership control of it.
2. Any social group with less than 8 members after 1 month will be removed.
3. Social groups, profile comments/discussions and album comments are subject to exactly the same rules as the rest of the forums.
