Old, denotes aging, a loss of vitality or fading of faculties.
Maturity, on the other hand, speaks of hard earned experience or wisdom derived from constant trial, testing and application. It's an ageless falsehood to ascribe all the actions and manners of the elderly to mere physiology. And any generation that fails to honor it's elders is a generation that robs itself of wisdom.
