If I understand the OP correctly, here's the topic of the thread:
Daniel 7, Revelation 4-5, and Revelation 20 each contain visions of the throne in heaven. Also, each of these visions is specifically described within an apocalyptic setting. The OP is trying to determine how, if at all, Daniel 7 fits in relation to Revelation 4-5 and/or Revelation 20. Meaning, is what Daniel sees in his vision of the throne the same thing as what John sees?
That is, is the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven to the Ancient of Days [Daniel 7] analogous to the Lamb appearing before the One on the throne [Revelation 4-5]?
Or, is the Ancient of Days taking his seat on the throne, and opening the books to pass judgment [Daniel 7], the same as the One sitting on the great white throne and judging the dead [Revelation 20.11-15]?
And my own response was:
I believe that Daniel 7 depicts the establishment of the everlasting Kingdom of God. In parallel, I believe that Revelation 4-19 depicts the events that surrounded that establishment. Then, there is the thousand years. Culminating in the judgment of the dead, and the defeat of death, which is when the Kingdom of God is consummated, and delivered by the Son to the Father.
That's my take.
