Slap Jack was one of the "greatest" card games ever. It was like War. But, instead of the high card winning, the players would make a pile with them. When a Jack was turned and places on the pile, people would try to slap the top of the pile to win the cards. It really is a "boys" game, because you would slap the pile as hard as you could. That way, if you did not win the pile, you could make the other people think twice before trying to gain the next pile of cards.

We call it snap over here , when a pair of cards appear ( 2 threes or whatever ) we shout as loud as possible SNAP and slam our hand on the pile. not only does one hurt their hand, but you scare the wits out of your opponent as well. I wear a ring with a pointy top when playing :idea:
