And  well.
Getting some Rich Mullins in before my day really starts here. "Sing Your Praise to the Lord". :inlove:
Praise God for everything He has done for me. Keep my brothers and sisters here safe as they go about their work today, and open up some oppertunity to do Your work in each life here today. Thank You, Lord.

Yes, I left my home for work. I always get to work a little early so I can read my Bible a bit, drink some coffee, and have one last bit of fellowship before I have to embark on a new day. Sometimes i only have 5-10 minutes here, sometimes (like today) I could have up to 30. I will enjoy it while it lasts.

Reading this right now:
But when he thought on these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.
Sometimes, I need to return to the beginning of everything before I can continue on in the race.

Yes, he was an amazing man. I hope and pray if God calls me to something akin to such a calling, I can do it as well.

I can only imagine the humbleness it takes to drop what you have been taught all your life and pick up and take after Him like that. I am not saying that we do not do things like that, but to be....I don't know how to really express it. Joseph (while really a minor part in the whole thing) willingly gave up everything he knew, married a pregnant woman, tended to the birth of his child (which men did not do back then), listened to God when He spoke to him. Moved the family to Egypt when he was told, returned to Nazarath (a backwater town, a crossroad of sin where people would stop briefly), continued on in the craft using the gift that God had given to him to be a carpenter. Protected his family, finally knew his wife and have children of his own. Did what he was called to do (as far as the Biblical account of his life). And yet, I am not even sure if he was alive to see the final fruit, Jesus redeeming mankind from the cross.
Wow, what a mouthful for me before I really get into working....

Fantastic loyalty and love and faith that Joseph displayed in the word of God. He waited many months to make love to his wife. What a great guy. :star:

Enjoying my first cup of coffee. Now just trying to determine if I want to read first then practice, or practice first then read. :hmm:

Today I was walking home from town, when I was confronted by the same beggar who always comes and asks me for money. I have tried to help him before and he has sort of listened but he still calls to me every time he sees me so today I just lost it and shouted at him before he even got to me. Shame, I was just not in a very giving mood at that point

I've done and felt this way in the past... God was good in that He led me to a song that helped me.

Re: The BATTLE for the first post - Renewed and Refreshed Edition.
I am a qualified social worker, and I try very hard to do whatever I can to help the people I see around me. But I also know that there those who abuse my compassion and I feel like at some point I have to protect myself from being manipulated because of my desire to help. So I really love this song because I see it as an encouragement to go on doing this
