Hi all, I've been looking to find a Bible with both a English and French translation. It doesn't matter much to me if the text is Fench below and English above or if the two are separated like a...
As it says in Ezekiel 14. You can only be saved by your own righteousness. When we believe in Jesus as our Savior it is reckoned to us as righteousness. Faith in Jesus Christ is the only thing that...
Yep, I am 17. This section really doesn't get used much does it.
This discussion reminds me of 1 Corinthians 10 when Paul is talking about eating meat from the market. A lot of that meat was sacrificed to other gods. Secular music is kind of the same thing from my...
I tend to use the Wordless book when I am sharing the gospel. It is a great tool, not sure who came up with it but I know D.L. Moody used it and improved it. Even when I don't use the wordless book...
If we look back in context to Matthew 5 where Jesus starts to speak it says
Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to...
Nebachadnezzer prior to being humbled by God.
I personally think that out is better on most vehicles, but in looks good too.
Maybe people who are more intelligent have more pride that they are unwilling to part with.
The reason for making disciples is so they can evangelize to others. Both are equal, with the goals of telling others the gospel of Jesus Christ and growing spiritually.
One of my personal favorites that I have used while working with CEF is Hebrews 13:5 " Never will I leave You, Never will I forsake you"
Thanks for the suggestion, my first option is Appalachian, but if not I would not mind going to Moody in Chicago. I really don't mind rural areas (the town I live in now has 939 or so)
Looking back, on all the seeds sown
It’s a miracle, that I am where I am
Seventeen years life flash before my tear-filled eyes
love, and fear, and faith, and flesh
passes from my very breath...
Hi all,
I am trying to compile a list of ways that you can witness to someone on my website and I was wondering if you all have some that you would like to contribute. Obviously the possibilities...
I need to pick 6 colleges to send my ACT's that they send automatically.
So far I have
Appalachian Bible College (WV)
Moody Bible Institute (Chicago)
Calvary Bible College (Kansas City...
Just my suggestion of the top three.
1. Actually Read 1 and 2 Chronicles (Why not, it'll take only a little bit)
2. Get into passages that are useful for apologetics/evangelism (that's why we're...
Well, we do have a sinful nature.
Faith, hope, and love are some good things he gave us; but the greatest is love.
Jeep is the way to go. I am more of a mopar guy, like fords, but have had bad experiences with chevy. Owned a camaro for 47 minutes before it broke down.
As technology advances it seems both Mac OS and Windows get more alike. Especially since the switch by Apple to Intel Processors.
I currently am using the big three. Ubuntu Linux, Windows 7, and Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) all on one computer. Personally, I just don't like windows because its problems takes up so much of my...
I always try to think of the Bible as always being literal except in idioms or common sayings of the hebrew culture.
Christians have the Holy Spirit now. After Jesus's death, the Holy Spirit came to help us. That is why dreams and visions and such are not seen nowdays.
I found the place I was looking at was in Joshua 5. It is the commander of the army of the Lord. This probably is Jesus correct?
Where is the passage in Joshua that talks about I want to say "the Angel of the Lord" standing next to Joshua and telling him to take his sandals off? I do not know for sure if it said Angel of the...
Why do Matthew and Luke seem to have different geneologies? Is one Mary's geneology? I can't figure this question out and I believe my first conclussion is wrong.
I don't think we got any more done than we do now back in the day when we were all Catholic.
I have worked with many homeschoolers, because a lot of Christian families homeschool their children in my area to keep them from being influenced by public schools children. I am not homeschooled...
I am working on reading the whole Bible. I started in order, but it really hasn't turned out in order. I've read
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs,...
