    Re: Jesus > Religion

I have been in Christ for 8 years, and 4 months.
Why do you ask about children? Do your kids cause you to sin?

    Re: Jesus > Religion

Satan is the god of this world, and sinners are of THIS world. Not everyone at Corinth was a sinner.

    Re: Jesus > Religion

How can I have pride in myself? I was crucified and buried, with Christ, as Romans 6 spells out. Everything I am now is of Him. "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the...

    Re: Jesus > Religion

You credit them with being Christian, I don't. Until they REALLY repent, turn from sin, they are just sinners pretending they obey-love God. The sin is the proof of who THEIR God is .

    Re: Jesus > Religion

[QUOTE=Slug1;2879902]This is touched on as I mentioned at the 2 minute mark. As Christians we need to expose any sin in our lives and as Christians we should NOT fear being judged by our brothers and...

    Re: Jesus > Religion

It's too bad that he never once mentioned turning from his old sins, (repentance), and living in OBEDIENCE to God.
"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the...
  7. Re: Is moving from a neighborhood because of social economic reasons ok?

This sounds kind of "made-up". The HOAs here all have lawyers on retainer to file every kind of suit imaginable to eradicate this behavior. Why doesn't yours?
As a Christian, I would reach out to...

Need Advice: Re: Change of Life

Hold on to that virginity with all your might!! When you look back, in 5 or 10 and even 50 years, this will be a great blessing that you waited for God to provide a wife for you. And it will be a...

Discussion Re: Mary after the Crucifixion

Lots of supposition and "tradition". I'll stick to what IS in the bible.

Re: The three questions of Paul.

Sorry to say, I don't understand you. Do you have "grammer check" on your computor?
If you spoke like this to me in person, I would think you had a stroke. Are you OK?
  11. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

You are on the right track, chad.
  12. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

I have been judged. "The wages of sin is death." (Ro 6:23) For my sins, I was crucified with Christ. (Ro 6:6)
Paul also writes, "Some men's sins are opened before hand, going before to judgement;...
  13. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

1726 posts on a Christian website and you haven't heard or read about what happens to the "flesh" when a man is baptized in water?
"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus...
  14. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

I'm glad you saw fit to print 1 Jo 1:9 with your reply. So if a man has been cleansed of all unrighteousness, as v9 purports, can he not say he is without sin? Or is he deceived?
    The folks John was...
  15. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

In verse 17, of Matt 18, we are told how to react to those that will not heed the church. What do YOU do?
As you've made clear to me how you don't believe any one can be free of sin, how do you...

    Re: How to be/stay clean ( 1 John 1:7)

Do you have a scripture for this method of remission from sin?
  17. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

After having read the verses, I can see Jesus' concern for the lost. But there is a difference between a sheep who is lost and a man who choses to offend God. And yet if the ungodly does change his...
  18. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

The mistake I referred to was that anyone can prove that aChristian will sin. (post 44)
“Whosoever abideth in Him SINNETH NOT: Whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little...
  19. Re: Debate In Romans 1: 29 - Paul's Reasoning With the Jews

Huh? I don't see the word "debate" in Romans 1.
    What is your point?
  20. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

    "All unrighteousness is sin..."
The cited verses are for those who have not submitted themselves to the authority of God and His Son. Certainly NOT Christians.
"We" have confessed our sins, and...
  21. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

Please post the parable, or at least, where I can find it. Thanks
  22. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

You are mistaken. Nobody can prove that satan has more power on earth, or anywhere else, than the resurrected saviour. I, and many other, have undergone the circumcision done without hands, casting...
  23. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

That's right, God has made a way for His children to walk without sin. Jesus said, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (Jo 8:32) Free of what? "Verily, verily, I say...
  24. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

By your own words ye shall be judged. There is a way to live without sin. That way starts with repentance from sin. If your repentance is true, God will give you the Holy Ghost. But if you "sin...
  25. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

When it came to sheep, Jesus also said this, after being asked if He was the Christ: "Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: The works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness...
  26. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

1 By sinning a person manifests that they have not accepted Jesus as their Lord. They are serving sin instead. (Jo 8:32,34)
2 My version of the bible doesn't pander to the sinner. The KJV says,"For...
  27. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

A Christian won't sin. It's the "wanna-bes" that think they can receive the gifts Jesus died for, that continue to sin. Until a man submits to God, the only god he serves is sin. But Jesus said, "And...
  28. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

If his repentance is true, God will accept him. He will also not allow him to be tempted above what he can handle, but will make a way to escape the temptation. (1 Cor 10:13)
    Those who's repentance...
  29. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

God will forgive everyone who "turns from sin" (repents of sin). But don't be fooled into thinking that you can continuously sin and repent, sin and repent. That only reveals that the previous...
  30. Re: Can You Hate Someone and Be a True Christian? - Tim Conway

If you need forgiveness for an offense against God, then you were not in the race. You manifest that you have not turned from sin, and repentance is the first thing mentioned by Peter in Acts 2:38.
