  1. Re: Did Paul break the law in persecuting Christians?

Is there a difference between "wrong and sinful"? Can you give me an example.

If he wasn't wrong according to the law then why would God forgive him? Forgive him for what?

    Not trying to...
  2. Re: Did Paul break the law in persecuting Christians?

I understand what the Original Poster was asking. But the fact that there is dialogue that is considering that Paul was possibly okay "according to the law" is crazy. These kinds of debates are, I...
  3. Re: Did Paul break the law in persecuting Christians?

But according to God, Paul was sinning completely, correct?

They too were sinning, correct? In this case, the crucifying of Jesus.
  4. Re: Did Paul break the law in persecuting Christians?

    Thanks for clarifying.
  5. Re: Did Paul break the law in persecuting Christians?

I'm not really sure at this moment how to answer exactly.

Are you suggesting that those Jews who didn't except Christ in Pauls time, when they died still denying Christ, that they will...
  6. Re: Did Paul break the law in persecuting Christians?

Saul/Paul was wrong 100%. Those who didn't believe Jesus, whether their unbelief was deliberate(willful pride, etc.) or out of ignorance, they were sinning. Saul/Paul was not in any way shape or form...
  7. Re: Obama giving a drink offering to an idol...?!

Because those who don't TRULY KNOW God hate Him and are offended by the cross. Everyone loves to pay respect to other religions because they don't call ones self to follow the first commandment....

    Re: Sanctifcation: Positional vs. Practical

Anytime I've considered counseling for something such as anger, I've felt that doing that would be like me telling God He is powerless to remove my anger.

Or "God, I don't trust in your power." ...

My name in quotes caused me to pause and consider that maybe you thought I was baiting or being condescending...I wasn't. If that was just anxiety on my part, I apologize. I've read alot...

Can you elaborate what this statement means practically to you?

What would be the point in maturing in it if it's a done deal?

    Re: OSAS Question

The biggest complaint I've heard is that when we teach someone this and/or try and explain this concept the rebuttal alot of times is a staunch refusal to get or be baptized.

    I've known people...
