Okay... let's try this a different way.

I don't need to have faith that I am a child of God if I am ALREADY a child of God. I don't need to have faith that God will provide me food for tonight when there is a cabinet full of food for me to eat when I want that God already provided. I don't need to have faith that I have eternal life if I am already living in eternal life. No faith is necessary for something already realized. You can't even recognize that very clear truth? I mean come on now!!!

1 John 3:2

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

It really does amazes me how many believe, that they have the ability to destroy God's work.
There is a fallen angel who suffers the same delusion.

Whosoever the Father draws to me, I will in no wise cast out. All who the Father gives, I will lose none.

The widow that fed Elijah. Was the meal in the barrel the day before she needed it? By faith the barrel never went dry. They knew that it would not because God said it would not. This goes to the root of faith.
By faith I am a child of God. Come on and quite playing with words and just realize what you have!

1 Kings 17:14
For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

That is faith defined.

We ARE children of God right now... We HAVE eternal life right now. We're not waiting for it. Our salvation is already complete. We're just waiting for the full manifestation of it in the future.

He loved the sinner so much that He sent his Son to die for them but IF you are saved then you are not considered a sinner anymore in God's eyes. So why do we continue to think of ourselves as sinners? God is still there IF we do sin but IF we confess our sins then He is faithful and just to forgive us of those sins. If you are still a sinner or living in sin then God is not your father. The devil is your father.

I've used 1 John above and below since everyone wants to use it for OSAS. There are other verses I can use but this will do...

9No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

Paul himself confessed to sinning after he became a child of God- does this mean he won't be saved if he brings it before God and asks for forgiveness.

No, Jesus saved us from sin, and sin is defeated. Read the last chapter of John's final letter. It is if we make a practice of sin that stops us from being saved, and no one who is saved makes a practice of sin.

I sinned after I became a Christian and was baptised in the spirit. But I have left those sins for dust now because Jesus has saved me.

If you say you have never sinned once after becoming a Chistian or you are either a liar or the best Christian I have ever met. (sin includes insults, lustful glances- the minor things as well)

Why are we waiting for something that we already actually have? We don't need the Spirit of adoption when you are already in fact adopted. John says pretty much the same thing as well when speaking of enduring faith. Takes reading the whole letter in context as opposed to crawling all over one verse and not giving heed to the other words in that letter.

The redemption of our body refers to the resurrection... we all are still waiting for that aren't we??

John was stating a fact that we're not perfect, we still "have" sin. What point are you getting to? Anyway gotta go for today... God Bless You
