    Zim at 'tipping point'

Brait economist Colen Garrow said on Tuesday that it now seems irreversible that a solution needs to be found in Zimbabwe, as the country has reached "tipping point".

"It progressively moves more in favour of things coming right," he says. He says one of the key things underpinning this was that results had been posted in the wards.

Robert Mugabe accuses Morgan Tsvangirai of treason

Robert Mugabe’s ruling party today accused Morgan Tsvangirai, the Zimbabwean opposition leader, of treason and of working with Britain to oust the President from power.

Patrick Chinamasa, the Justice Minister, said he had seen correspondence showing that Mr Tsvangirai's party, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), had asked Gordon Brown to depose Mr Mugabe and install him as President.

Only God can establish peace in this poor country while Mugabe does not want to release the votes on the presidential poll.

    Mugabe warns Zimbabweans

President Robert Mugabe on Thursday urged Zimbabweans to defend the country against British "imperialism" on the eve of its 28th anniversary of independence.

"We should not let our children down by dropping our guard against imperialism, British imperialism, which is surreptitiously and clandestinely weaving its way through our society, trying to divide us," Mugabe told hundreds of youngsters at an eve-of-independence party in the capital Harare.

Opposition to a shipment of arms being offloaded in Durban and transported to Zimbabwe increased on Thursday when South Africa's biggest transport workers' union announced that its members would not unload the ship.

I really appreciate your regular prayers.

I heard this morning on the radio that the UK has troops ready in Botswana, the US has a fighter ship near the coast of Mozambique, South Africa has para troops on the border with Zim ready.

Only God can bring peace now.

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isa 9:6)

    Zim arms ship flees Durban

Durban - A ship that was carrying weapons and ammunition destined for Zimbabwe lifted anchor and sailed from Durban less than an hour after the Durban High Court ordered that its controversial cargo cannot be transported across South Africa to that country.

The An Yue Jiang lifted anchor between 18:00 and 19:00 on Friday evening.
Several sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the ship had set sail from the outer anchorage off the port of Durban.

Anglican bishop Rubin Phillips with Patrick Kearney, a former activist and executive of the Diakonia Council of Churches, applied to the Durban High Court to prevent the weapons from reaching Zimbabwe.

    Zimbabwe: ANC Steps In

Ruling party decides to circumvent President Mbeki and deal with Zanu-PF and MDC directly

The African National Congress has taken a decision to sidestep President Thabo Mbeki and directly intervene between Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party and the opposition Movement for Democratic Change.
The Sunday Times has established that the ANC National Working Committee (NWC) has asked the party’s secretary-general, Gwede Mantashe, to establish contact with Zimbabwe’s two main protagonists in an attempt to bring them to the table.
