Do you want me to move this to Contro maybe? Not that it is all to Controversial but should prove to be an interesting topic.

If nonsense like this ever sees the light of day, this will be the death of the internet as we know it

For now I'm not overly concerned - several UK internet providers have been introducing fair use policies, although they usually set a "fair use" limit so high you'd have to be pretty determined to break it. Users who spend their entire day uploading and downloading movies and the like might break it, in which case they can move to a package with a higher allowance.

I'm aware of the desire of governments of all flavours to censor and tax the internet, but the requirement for ISPs to make a profit is probably closer to the true reason for this kind of thing. Bandwidth costs money, and a few extremely heavy users can degrade the service for everyone else.
1Jn 4:1 NKJV Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1Th 5:21-22 NKJV Test all things; hold fast what is good. (22) Abstain from every form of evil.

There is a thread over in Contro that might ad some more to this, about censorship. There is a short video in the OP.

You guys might find it intersting, bdh, I would love to hear your thoughts on it too.
