Psalm 23 (New King James Version)
4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
What scares you? The list can be seemingly endless; spiders, water, flying, heights, speaking in front of others, etc. Somewhere on everyone's list of fears is the fear of facing death. it is the last battle, the great unknown. It is inevitable and irreversible. In verse four, we find David expressing that he will not fear even when walking through the valley of the shadow of death. The reason is simple. He doesn't have to face the valley alone. He has the presence and power of God at his disposal. The great news is so do you.
Even if the fear you face is, not death, you can still rely on God being with you. Recall His love, ability and care. You too can fear no evil.
FOR TODAY: REMIND YOURSELF OF GOD'S PRESENCE.
