Start a new part - for John used "after"!

Why do you think that John puts "after" at?
Rev. 15:5
"And after that I looked.."
V6
"And the seven angels came.."

Why is it that some people try to shove "after" sections into previous parts?

Let Rev. 15:4 bring one section of prophecy to an end. Start "after" that a whole new story.


So in Rev. 15 we have...

one story of John saw the seven last plagues
with "seven angels"

then
after that story
he saw - the temple opened in heaven
and out came the seven angels
John now gets a new story that leads up to how they eventually ended up with the vials.


"And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues..."
V7
"And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full..."
/So the angel group now has
seven that they came from the temple bearing
and seven that one of the four beasts gave them

V 8
"And the temple was filled with smoke....no man was able to enter...till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.'

till all plagues are over?

Till the ones the angel group came from the temple with before they were given seven more.

the seven plagues
then received seven last plagues

Where else do we find an "after" type of chapter? Rev. 7!
Rev. 7:1
"And after these things I saw..."

So let the start of chapter 7 stand all by itself...then at v9 we find we are to begin a new part yet once more.

Chapter 6 - shove away in your mind for a bit...for its ending is not be put with chapter 7.
Chapter 6 began the seals...
and chapter 7 lets John see a new story.

"And after these things I saw four angels..."


Note this !! John did not say "the four angels". John is therefore letting four angels now make their introduction into the book of Revelation.

Why is that so important?
Because go look at Rev. 15:1?
See there how only then is another angel group being allowed to enter the messages of the book of Revelation?
Rev. 15:1

"seven angels"
not - "the seven angels"
John has to put the introduction part down first and then he will see that group many times later...such as in Rev. 15:6 and Rev. 8:2.


So let's look at the chapter we began this post with.
chapter 7
an "after" type of chapter

"And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth..."
"standing on the four corners"
Do you know that in the OT a "four corners" prophecy would mean God is about to send the worst of the heathen against Israel, and he will have many weapons to use.
such as - hunger
sword
pestilence

Look back at the 4th seal rider in Rev. 6 - note that he is the only one with many weapons.
6:8
"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill...
with
sword, hunger, death, beasts of the earth"
4th seal //This is the only rider that can be the man of sin/ antichrist, first beast of Rev. 13 up out of the earth, the one dead head named blasphemy that returns to rule again. see Rev. 13

Rev.7
Rev. 7:1
"And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree."
7:2
"And I saw another angel...having the seal of the living God..."

So we now have two groups in the story.
four angels (hold back the winds)
and
another angel - that has the seal of God
"another" so this let us in on here is not the only angel John just saw.
as in - more than one angel has ascended from the east


7:3
"Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees till we have sealed......"
"till we have sealed"
Here is the angel group that John saw ( at least part of it) ascend from the east - and will seal the 144,000 of the tribes of Israel.

7:4
"And I heard the number of them which were sealed......"
Why?
Why does John hear that amount being told?
Again, if we use the OT, it means that the angels that did the sealing job have returned to heaven and a report is given back to God.
Remember - the angel group was out sealing people - as the "we" angels.
But John never says he saw them get sealed.
The angels returned to heaven - so that means had to come back to heaven.
God gets the report of their accomplishments.

Rev.7
John saw
four angels hold the four winds
at least two angels ascended from the east
(but he knew they belonged to a "we" angel group)
John heard that one angel speak.
The sealing job was not seen - and then John heard the numbers of the sealed.

To get a better understanding of this read Ezekiel chapters 7 and 9.
Ezekiel 7:15
"The sword...the pestilence, and the famine...shall devour..."
V24
"I will bring the worst of the heathen.."
V1
"...upon the four corners of the land."


You would also come across that it takes a certain look to do the sealing type of job.
wearing linen
being girded
having a plague ( a way to destroy) at the time of the sealing job

This is shown to happen also in Daniel 7. Watch for "after" because it is a flag to us to start a new part.

Daniel 7:7
"After this I saw in the night visions..."
Look Daniel has just made the word vision - plural.
Daniel has ended the first vision for this chapter and started a new one. It too has a fourth beast in it.

Rev. 7 is not a continuation of the 6th seal. It is a separated section that must be looked at to see where what is written there belongs.

four corners - comes somewhere before the 6th seal
sealing of the tribes - must happen before the 6th seal time
The out of tribulation martyrs must have died before the 6th seal end of tribulation signs.

Rev. 7 therefore falls somewhere within seals 1-6 and covers several of them.
