A Gentle Spirit
Our Lord invited people to learn from Him. Learn what? Mt 11:29 says Gentleness. While we must oppose false teaching and unscriptural practices, we must not attack an individual or our brethern. Remember, God hates sin but not the sinner. If we attack we may think we are defending truth and faith, but actually we will be doing the opposite.
When we trust Christ for salvation, His love will conquer our hearts, and we'll represent Jesus Christ to others by treating them with gentleness. Our words should be His words to a world that is begging us to represent Christ to them. Please be who you say you are. Please don't let this be another trick, please be real, they tell us. The One who personifies Gentleness... has shown us the way.
