Ephesians 2:13 (New King James Version)

13] But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Once Far Off, But Now In Christ

John Newtons epigram is familiar, "I am not what I ought to be, I am not what I wish to be, I am not what I hope to be, but by the grace of God, I am not what I was." The Scripture verse today assures us that we can be changed by the blood of Christ.

Christ Jesus has abolished in his flesh the law and ordinances so that He might reconcile us to God in one body through the cross. He came so we could have ready access to the father. We are no longer strangers and sojourners, but members of the household of God, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in which the whole structure is joined together. With grateful hearts, let us praise Him for such a salvation as this.
